ceiling over dining room table and back window

Our MPG is only two years old We thought we stored and protected it properly however apparently do to loose air conditioner bolts water has leaked down the interior of the roof causing bubbles in the lining. Possibly the wood underneath may be rotten. How difficult is this to repair and what is the most cost effective way to repair? I can not afford to have the dealer make the repairs. What can I do?

I have removed the trim strip which is about 1.5 inches wide to look and see. I will let you know that the panels seem to be glued and stapled in place. I think that it would be a messy job, but not terrible if you can find appropriate panels to go back in. Just my 2 cents. Every year I tighten the A/C bolts now. I got lucky and there was no separation.
