Moving around the 3950 with slides in

We will probably be doing some boondocking occassionally at a Wal-Mart or a Flying J where there is little or no tolerance for pushing out slides in their parking lots. Can anyone tell me what kind of space there is inside of a 3950 when the slides are in? With the center kitchen island and the two slide pushed in on both sides, is it still possible to walk from the front to the back of the rig? Is it possible to access the fridge?

Thank in advance,

FTW

Hi Fulltimer
We've stayed at a number of WM and Truck Stops across this great country of ours, and we've never had a problem with putting out a slide or 3. Their not crazy about lounge chairs, BBQ and boom box going, but if your just staying overnite, it shouldn't be much of a problem.

There isn't really a lot of room to move in the 3950 with the slides in, but 1 nice feature of Heartlands is that you can isolate the slides, so you can set them so that only the dinette and kitchen slide will open until you get to your final destination. With that you only need to move the slides out maybe 6-12" to have access.

No walking from the front to the back. Come in front door, turn right, front bath and bedroom accessible. Bed slides to dresser. Enter thru garage door for access to back. Freezer opens fine, fridge door only a few inches. Use rear bev cooler for drinks. No problem isolating the different slides to open.

Hi FTW,

Look above your battery bank for three turn screws. Turned in, the individual slide moves. Screwed out, that slide will not move.
