Artis water pump in 2012 Sundance

This pump seems to be very noisy.
Is there a more quiet pump out there?

I like to be able to hear my pump. That way if I here my pump cycle when I know the water is not in use I can start looking for a leak.

We didn't have an Artis, but replaced with a variable speed pump, I think it is a Flojet VSD like this one: http://m.campingworld.com/shopping/item/sensor-vsd-pump-4-5-gpm/21397

You can also quieten (is that a word?) your pump. For one thing it is probably screwed to the basement floor and more than likely connected on the discharge side directly to a PEX. I took some noodle foam and put that between the pump and floor and used a flexible hose between pump and PEX. I agree with above it is good to hear a little noise just in case......but you can make it quieter

I don't think there is one out there that is too quiet.
