Hey ... what's with these freak late summer snow storms in the Black Hills of South Dakota? Fortunately it will be back in the high-60's/low-70's in a few days !!

Winter comes early the further north you live. We get used to 100s in October in AZ but September can mean snow and cold in the Dakota's and Montana. A few years back I had planned a trip to visit some friends who live near southern Montana border and they told me not to wait until September and if I did to prepare for Winter weather.

We had the same storm two days ago here in Calgary, Alberta. Brought down a lot of my trees, as they still had leaves on them and the wet snow weight was too heavy.
