Heartland Recreational Vehicles has introduced the all-new Edge toy hauler, aggressively priced to compete in one of the industry’s fastest growing sectors. According to a press release, Heartland will unveil Edge to dealers during next week’s Elkhart County RV Open House.
“Edge is unlike anything in the industry and is truly creating its own segment in the toy hauler marketplace,” said General Manager A.J. Jones. “Edge is priced well below the competition, while providing many features not found in any other toy hauler.”
The Edge line is currently comprised of four floorplans, one travel trailer and three fifth-wheel configurations. Jones reported that two models would be on display for dealers to review during the Open House.
“The Edge is an extension of Heartland’s commitment to be the market leader in terms of innovative design and staying in tune with an ever-changing demographic,” said Heartland President Chris Hermon. “Toy haulers have evolved into the industry’s most versatile product as consumers keep discovering new uses and functions. We work hard to make sure Heartland is out front of the competition in responding to customers’ demands in this explosive growth segment.”
Recognizing an emerging trend toward enhancing the living area in toy haulers, Heartland has integrated its exclusive side patio into the onboard garage on all fifth-wheel models while adding fold-down sofas to give the area “a residential look and feel.” For additional outdoor living area, models also include a rear patio off the garage.
Other features available on all fifth-wheels include two full bathrooms, an expansive bedroom with king-size bed and a “Mega” walk-through master bath with sunken tub. The living room is set off by a 50-inch TV and built-in fireplace. Other features include six-point landing gear, 7,000-pound Dexter axles, a 23 cubic-foot refrigerator and “unmatched” kitchen storage.
“As in all Heartland’s lines, the all-new Edge keys on those trends and features that are tripping the hot button with consumers,” Jones said. “Along with a host of set-apart features, Edge also hits a price point that will not only provide another value piece for our dealers but also give them a step up on the competition.”
Coley Brady, vice president of sales, added, “Our toy haulers are definitely in high demand with our dealers. We are excited about leading this segment of the business and increasing sales, and profit margins, for our retail partners.”

"...unlike anything in the industry" Didn't we hear something like that before?

Some of it sounds neat. Wonder when more info will be on the site...

Was just looking at details on the current version of our 3950 Cyclone, has some plus and minus for what we do. Maybe the Edge line will be better.
