2010 Heartland North Trail Cable TV

We have a 2010 North Trail 31RLSS and the cable hook up is in the back by the back window. I don't see another hook up for the cable by the TV though - only the one for the tv antenna. How is this supposed to hook up?

Thank you!

Hi rlkubi,

The antenna and the cable TV share wiring. The two inputs come together at a signal booster, probably located near your entertainment center. There's a small red button that lights an LED when depressed. For antenna signals you need to have the signal booster ON. For cable TV it needs to be OFF.

On most TVs, the menu settings need to be switched between CABLE and ANTENNA, and you will typically also have to run a channel scan on the TV menu.

You can get a replacement cover plate with built-in barrel connector at Home Depot or Lowes. Should be less than $5 and it'll take 5 minutes to change.

You probably can buy it from Heartland. Call Heartland Customer Service at 877-262-8032 / 574-262-8030. Have your VIN # ready.

You may also be able to get it from any local dealer parts dep't. And it's possible you might find it at the hardware store.
