Do I need a new inverter?

In September I bought a new 2015 Landmark Key Largo with the house refrigerator with a Mugnum csw1012 1000 watt inverter. I pulled the trailer from TN to PA and the refrigerator/inverter worked fine. Although the inverter says "Pure Sine Wave" it is my understanding that Heart Land had Magnum change the software so the inverter is no longer pure sine wave, and over time that can cause problems with the refrigerators electronics. I have contacted Heart Land and was told that the inverter is pure sine wave. I have also contacted Magnum with model number and serial number with no response.

How can I tell if the inverter is pure sine wave or not? If not do I need a new inverter? 2000 watt seems to be the industry standard, what else should I look for? Inverter prices are all over the place what should I look for so I do not end up with something worse.

Also I have two 6 volt golf cart batteries from another rv what would be the best way to use these batteries in my new rv?

Thanks in advance for any help.
