We pick up our new North Trail this week. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread, we might have to make this our first rally!

02-17-2015, 10:25 AM
Zombiejeep, we'd love to be your first rally in your new North Trail!

06-24-2015, 06:58 PM
Yo, Jay and Larry. Pencil us in for the rally and probably a couple of days before. We had a great time last year and right now I am trying to work a deal with Moryde for IS and Disc Brakes (Gary said rally price is good to end of the year). Hopefully, this far out I can get an appointment during the week between your rally and the Illinois rally.

Congrats Larry and Gale and thanks for stepping up. Without the many people like you Peggy and I wouldn;t have any rallies to go to.

06-24-2015, 07:25 PM
Thanks for adding us to the list. This will be our first Rally.

06-24-2015, 09:23 PM

We won't be able to make it again this year. We accepted a work camping job in the Wisconsin Dells, and will be here until Oct. 5. But we will be going to the Wisconsin rally, as we are working at the campground where they are having their rally! Wish we could make it.

07-22-2015, 07:26 PM
Roy, we'll miss you and Sally in Missouri, but understand a work camper's life. Maybe next year...

07-22-2015, 09:19 PM
Don and Joyce Baker sent a PM saying that they are coming to the rally.

07-23-2015, 11:22 AM

Lin and Deb, I'm adding you to the list.

08-04-2015, 10:47 AM
There was a problem with the link this morning. The website was showing a "parking" message. Seems to be resolved now.

08-04-2015, 11:02 AM
Thanks Dan.

I wish y'all could make it too David. There's always next year.

08-20-2015, 01:21 PM
It's almost rally time and there are still sites available. The cutoff date is the 28th, when we will have to return the reserved sites so to be with the group, please sign up ASAP.

08-20-2015, 05:58 PM
Thanks for the nice comments. Unfortunately I went downhill a bit. When we were at the Lake Delton rally I had a lot of swelling in my feet/legs and other places. My cardiologist ordered some blood work and then asked that I come home. We had to cancel the MI rally. They've been experimenting with different doses and types of medication. My stomach is still pretty bloated. I'm hoping to still make the Carthage rally, but no guarantees.

08-20-2015, 06:43 PM
Take care of yourself Bernie. There will be lots of rallies. Of course, we'd love to see you in Carthage, but just let us know.

08-21-2015, 03:57 PM
Reservation made for Sept 10 and leave on the 14th.

See you soon!

08-21-2015, 06:48 PM
Great! Dave and Nancy will be in Carthage!

08-21-2015, 07:03 PM
I hope this means that Dave's recovery is going well!

08-23-2015, 09:30 AM
I hope this means that Dave's recovery is going well!

Yes, it does, Mike!
See you soon!

08-26-2015, 01:39 PM
Joe and Anne Maxwell sent me a message that they will be attending the rally. It won't be long now!

We still have a few more sites and a couple more days, so if you want to come, get in touch with the park and get signed up!

09-02-2015, 08:58 AM
Sorry I've had to cancel our reservation. Just found out I'm having cataract surgery next week and there's not enough time to get there and back for the post-op, etc.

09-02-2015, 05:56 PM
Nancy, we're sorry you won't be able to make it.

After my medical problem on Monday, I won't be able to make it either. Everyone please take it easy on new Chapter Leaders Larry and Gayle.

09-02-2015, 09:54 PM
I've no doubt that Larry & Gayle will do fine, but I'm sure they'll miss your expert leadership!

09-02-2015, 11:07 PM
I'm sure they will but I hate to miss the rally. It was a first for me to remove my own name from the attendee list.

09-03-2015, 08:01 AM
We will miss you Jay but your health comes first. Maybe we'll see you at the next one.

09-03-2015, 09:55 AM
Thanks Don. I'm planning (with Dr's approval) to make the rest of the South Central rallies and to go to the RGV in January.

09-05-2015, 04:06 PM
We arrived here yesterday and I gotta tell you Jay, it is pretty lonely without you and Stella here, but Your health is first and by now you should be pretty close to your home turf so you can begin setting up those all important medical appointments with the professionals you know and trust. Best of luck to you and we will be seeing you at all of the rest of the rallies except Bullard.

BTW, this place is just as nice as I remember it from last year, but after being spoiled in Colorado, it is a tad warm.

09-06-2015, 09:54 PM
The Krauts have landed. Arrived early this afternoon.

09-07-2015, 01:27 PM
What happens at these rallies. I have 2 children that are 5 and 2. We usually plan camping trips around them. Just curious as this is only 1.5 hours from me.

Nbomar, there is a lot of socializing, especially around the campfire of an evening. Usually a potluck (or 2), most folks will do some exploring in the area during the day, either in a group, or on their own. Also usually there will be some rig touring, checking out each other's rigs, and mods they have done, or planning on doing. Also, if someone needs some repair work they need help with there is always plenty of help! It's generally a good time, meeting new friends and catching up with old friends. If you can make it, I'm sure you'll have a good time. As far as the kids are concerned, there usually aren't any planned activities for them, but they are welcome. We've been to several Heartland rallys with kids, and there haven't been any problems. Most of us are Grandparents!! But a word of caution, there will be adult beverages, but I've never seen it get out of hand & we've been to numerous Heartland rallys.

Glad to see that you were able to make it!!! We are still here in Wisconsin, be leaving Oct. 05. Enjoy yourselves!!!

09-13-2015, 10:32 AM
Larry and Gayle, thanks for a great rally and pre-rally visits with everybody. You would never know that this was your first rally because you sure conducted this one like old pros. We had ( and still are having ) a wonderful time visiting with old and new friends and Ray's generous contribution of the beautifully carved prizes was icing on the cake. BTW your toilet paper game will only work once with me, now that I am on to it. Thanks again. Mike and Peggy

09-13-2015, 02:39 PM
I will second what Peg and Mike said, Larry and Gayle did a great job.

09-13-2015, 06:23 PM
Had a lot of fun at the rally. Great job Larry and Gayle. Ray thanks again for the carvings. Also may thanks again to Alan. Bernie & Judi

09-13-2015, 08:38 PM
Thanks to everyone at the rally. Deb and I had a great time at our first pre-rally, rally and post rally ( still going ). Really enjoyed meeting everyone. Thank you Larry and Gayle for stepping up to host this rally. Ray, really appreciate the gifts, truly pieces of art. We will leave Tuesday to head to Bullard TX for the next rally we will attend. We are looking forward to more rallies in our future. Bernie & Judi, I was more than happy to help out, take care.

For those who were at the Missouri Rally, this is an update about Joyce. Most of you know we spent Saturday night and Sunday morning in the ER. Joyce had her second attack in 4 weeks. We were not sure what the problem was but the ER doctor suspected it was gall stones. When we got home she contacted her doctor and found out it was indeed gall stones. She had her gall bladder removed last Thursday. She is doing fine and looking forward to the winter in Texas.

09-29-2015, 11:31 AM
Glad they were able to diagnose the problem and perform the successful surgery. You both have our best wishes and be safe.

09-29-2015, 12:52 PM
Most of you know we spent Saturday night and Sunday morning in the ER.
Don't ask me where I was, but totally missed out on that. Joyce, glad to hear that you are doing fine.

09-29-2015, 08:25 PM
Good to hear Don. Prayers for a speedy recovery and a great winter break in Texas!

09-29-2015, 08:28 PM
Don, glad to hear Joyce will be ok. I'm not so sure the about our Tigers. Hope to see you at a rally in TX soon.

Don, since we had to miss the MO rally, I didn't know about Joyce. Glad to hear that she has been diagnosed and treated. Hope her recovery goes well.

Hope to see y'all at another rally or in the Valley this winter.

09-30-2015, 01:31 AM
Hadn't heard about Joyce's problems, Don! Glad the doc's figured things out & she's getting along better now! Send her our best!!!

09-30-2015, 07:26 AM
Don and Joyce, Sorry to read about Joyce's surgery, but happy to hear that she is on the mend. Sorry that we will miss you in Texas this year, but Bob and Connie Sims did a great job last winter getting Heartlander's together last year and will again this winter. Have a Great Winter and hope to see you in 2016 at Rally's.
