Valve Stem Extension Trouble

I had my DRW tires rotated and it was discovered that the extensions from the valve stems on the inside duals were causing issues. Apparently the vibrations, wiggling, centrifugal force, ect was causing the vaulve stem to fail at the point where it seats in the rim. The guys at the tire shop replaced them and told me to keep an eye on them. Just thought I should pass it on.

A while back, I was considering getting extensions for my duallies. The tech at the tire dealer recommended that I not put them on due the potential for road debris, snow & ice damaging them. So I make sure the stems are lined up with the spoke holes on the outer tires and use a long tire gauge and hose chuck. A minor inconvenience, at worst.

I would but I can't get my big hands thru the small holes on the wheels. PITA!

That's why the long chuck. My paws don't fit either, but I have metal pass-through caps on the stems, so I don't have to remove them.

The viair450P RV has a slight bend in the long chuck. Makes it a little easier to check TP. And to inflate.
