Tongue Tool Box

Battery box mounted on the bottom.
Storing items from the front storage area: cedar blocks, WD and sway bars, tool bag, wheel chocks, etc.
Tool box is all aluminum and new barrel cam lock installed to match the other storage doors.

Just now noticed this post. It looks sweet but I am curious about the details for the install...Did you vent the box for the batteries? How did you secure the batteries to the bottom of the box? How did you mount the box to the frame of the tongue? I hope to replicate the same mod on my rig. I have two batteries but I think most every aspect of the install would be exactly like your setup.

I hope you sealed and vented the battery boxes. The lead acid batteries produce Hydrogen gas while charging and is very explosive. Think Hindenburg! You don't want hydrogen gas to build up in a confined space.
