Damaged ladder top on toyhauler

HI!

My firs post. I just purchased 2012 Road Warrior toyhauler. The previous own damage the top of the ladder. The portion that mounts on the roof and you hang the ladder off of. I contacted the manufacturer of the ladder but they said they can't sell me that portion. Any thoughts as to where I might find a replacement? THANK YOU

Have your VIN and call Heartland Customer Service, 574-262-8030 or 877-262-8032. Ask for parts department and you may need to send some pictures also, but they should be able to help out.

Go out and buy a real ladder that collapses. The ladder they mount is flimsy at best and is only mounted to the side with small screws. There are many stories about the ladder rungs breaking and some of the mounts being pulled from the side wall. I would make sure there is no damage to the roof allowing water to penetrate but I wouldn't use the ladder even if there were no issues with it.

I think that is some darn good advice.
