Sealing the Rig

Happy Monday to you all, if you want to call it that!

We spent time today "finishing" putting sealant (Sikaflex) on the rig. Two things I noticed that I want to ask others their opinions. 1) Most of the windows and other joints had sealant on top, but not on the bottom. I can see an argument both ways, and figured I'd match the factory condition. So, seal all the way around or just on top and a little way down each side? 2) There was zero sealant round the furnace cover? Is there a reason this is not sealed?

RV manufacturers generally "cap seal" windows. That is, across the top and around the radius of the top corner but not all the way down the sides or the bottom. I don't know why.

Per the Suburban furnace install manual, the furnace is sealed as follows:

Caulk around opening as illustrated. Apply generously. The purpose of the
caulking is to seal the back side of the door frame and the coach skin water
tight.

Thank you. I don't know why either, and while I could simply caulk the remainder of the way around, I don't want the extra maintenance if it isn't helpful or in fact prevents certain types of moisture from getting out. Condensation?
