Do you run those 2 8D's and 2 GP 27's on the same bank or do you separate them through a switch. Hows that 110 watt panel do with all those batteries. I use one 110 watt panel on my 2 6 volts and it does a darn good job, but have generators and ain't scared to use 'em.

Wow, I didn't see this post 'til today. The 110w panel keeps them all up to snuff. I wired them all in series. The positive from the control panel goes to the pos of the 1st gp27, then jumpers to the pos of the next gp27 then to the 1st 8D, then to the last 8D. Then the negative from the control panel goes to the last 8D and all the negatives are hooked together the same way. This way the batteries are all drawn down and charged back up as a group. We dry camp a lot with no regrets. I've had them darn 8D's for I can't remember how long....maybe 8 years! I brought home a big fancy load tester and put 'em all to the test indivdually and I was able to get about 70-75 amps before they would drop to 12.3 12.2.

I'll pm you since the orig post was 3/08.
