ATF: North Trail - Brake Harness Wiring

Greetings.
Recently purchased a 2016 North Trail and have had to increase the length of the brake harness. I was careful to make sure that I matched the color wiring of my new 7 pin harness with that of the harness that came wired from the dealer.

I noticed that on the trailer side was one brown wire that was connected to all the white ground wires. This is how it came from the dealer. Is this correct? Everything works just fine with the new harness so everything should be wired the way they should be...right?

Maybe I'm just being paranoid? I felt confortable and had no problems with matching the new harness wires but I really know nothing about electrical wiring.

Your trailer manual should have a wiring diagram. I've attached that page from a 2011 version of the manual. Probably the same.

What does ATF stand for in the subject of this message?
