ATF: Road Warrior - Central Vac and Light Switch

My central vacuum works only with the floor thingy to sweep in. When I plug in the hose on the bottom step, the vacuum doesn't turn on. My significant other is OCD and I need that thing to work!!

Also, for the life of me I cannot find the light switch for the rear bathroom. I hit every light switch in the rig and just cannot get that thing to turn off. Thank God it's an LED lol.

Some help please?

Rear bathroom light has a switch on the side of it. Vacuum works by lifting flap and pushing hose in until it goes on. Maybe try twisting it.

I will look for the switch thank you! I did try twisting the hose. I am sure I am doing something wrong. Thanks!

Take the outlet in question out and look at the back of it.
There should be two low voltage wires attached.
There is a possibility that the wires may have come off or have broken.
If they are still attached try to jump the wires to see if the vacuum comes on.
If it does then the fixture itself may be the problem, if it does not then the other end of the wire may have come off at the vacuum itself.

Peace

I agree with everything said on the vacuum, on some of the earlier 1/2 bath models there was not a light switch on the wall and the switch is actually on the side of the LED light.

thanks,

AJ
