Aluminum rims on Big Country

Nothing special. Just use any good aluminum wheel cleaner/polish from an auto store. Mothers make good products as do many others...Don

Be careful of what you use. Unless the "clear coat" is coming off, I would just wash them with soap and water and put on some wax. Our Horn is almost 8 years young and I have only waxed them 1 time. They still shine like a new penny.

My ten-year old Bighorn came with aluminum wheels and they have hard "stuff" on them. I've tried NEVER DULL, but even with a lot of rubbing, the "stuff" is still there. What's the best way to clean them?

If it looks like black filaments' or spider webs, it's most likely filiform corrosion. As it builds up, it will look more like a hard black lump. It happens when halides (salt) get under the clear coat through dings, scratches, or wheel balancing weights that get removed. You cannot scrub it off since it is under the clear coat.
