Replace lights over the dining table.

We have two flush mounted LED lights over our dining room table and I'd like to replace them with a pair of pendant lights. Has anyone done this and if so what fixture did you use and what was involved in installing them?

I may not be correct, but the lights are 12V DC. Depending on where they are located, make sure they will stay secured where they are mounted while traveling. Some pendant lights can be some what heavy.
