As part of its agreement with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Forest River must put together a list of RV industry best practices for reporting safety data to the government and share the list at industry events.

LOL that could be a short list! Seriously, though, this could be a step in the right direction for all RV manufacturers.

To me this suggests the NHTSA is cracking down on RV Manufacturers to address/report/recall safety issues in a timely manner. That hopefully will lead to less safety issues overall!

We heard about this on our local news. Wow, they got a pretty big fine over this issue. Did Thor buy these guys out too?

30 million dollars of the $35 million fine was deferred. However in my opinion if it gets the industry together on safety issues, much like the automotive industry, I think it's a good start regardless.
