I have yet to join the Heartland owners Club since my new BH will not be delivered until next month. My question is: What can I expect to find at the Rallies if I attend? Are their vendors, demonstrations, new products, etc. I already figure I will meet some great people.
Thank You

The National Rally in Goshen will have all of these, but state and regional rallies don't. Just a bunch of friends camping together.

At chapter rallies you will not find vendors, demonstrations or new products as a rule. Rarely yes, but mostly no.
The North American Heartland Rally held in in Goshen Indiana will provide the vendors, demos and new products.
The good things about chapter rallies is meeting new like minded people, getting ideas for mods, getting help or helping out with some sort of problem, seeing old friends and a lot of great food.
Chapter rallies will normally have 10 to 40ish attendee rigs, the North American will have upward of 200 rigs.
This weekend in Copake, NY there is a regional rally with 25 rigs, this August, a chapter rally, in Verona, NY there are 29 rigs signed up right now. Will you be #30?
Attend a rally or two and get a feel for it, you will enjoy it.
One more thing, a lot of people will arrive at the rally venue way before the rally starts as they always have fun.

Peace
Dave

There are state, regional and national rallies. Each rally will have it's own personality from seeing attractions around that area, having seminars or workshops, maybe a show/tell about modifications on coaches, or just relaxing and enjoying other Heartland folks. Most state and regional rallies are held at least once a year. In the past, the national rally has been held also once a year but this might be changing to one big rally every other year in Goshen, IN only. Oh - did I say EAT!!! We love food. We joined the club in 2010 and have met some wonderful folks who are now dear friends. Having friends across this country also give ya an added benefit in that they are there to see or help out in time of traveling problems. Hope this helps.

You will meet some great people at the rallys. If you attend one in the future, make a list of any issues you might be having with your rig. Then, casually mention them in order of importance when you are in a group. You'll have a group of attendees over at your rig to help you fix the issue. Please don't tell anyone I told you that trick. We use it quite a bit. You'll enjoy the 2nd rally more than the 1st. Seems they always assign a small back in space to the newbies who attend. Then when you arrive, they are all sitting around in chairs with drinks and score cards. Two sets. One for your parking ability and the other for the abuse between driver and helper.. Debbie and I scored a 2 and 10 at our 1st rally. It really makes it more difficult to back these things in when you see grown people rolling around on the ground laughing in your rear view mirror. After DW and I finished our show, they decided not to allow minors to attend this art of the rally.
If you ever attend a rally, you can bet you'll attend another.

I can't stress enough how amazingly fun the Chapter Rallies are! We have developed many life long friendships and can't imagine life without them anymore. Each Chapter Rally is a little different as the Chapter Leaders are able to run them as they see fit. The location of the rally has a lot to do with it as well. For example, a Rally in Moab Utah or in Zion National Park, or Grand Canyon, or Las Vegas or some other location where there is SOOO much to explore and see, might not have nearly as many planned activities as a Rally that is not near a "destination place". Also, some rallies are set up as just a social time, where people meet together, eat together and hang out together with no real big activities planned. Each one is fun and has a lot to offer! The last Washington Chapter Rally had a ton of stuff planned, maybe even too much. There was Golfing trips, Pickle Ball tournament, Police K-9 Demonstration, Rafting, Auction/Raffle, RV Maintenance and Education Classes, New Landmark and Cyclone Demos and Walk Through, Free RV Inspection/Service and Minor Repair, Ice Cream Social, Potluck Dinner, Wine Tasting excursion, Meet and Greet Social, Fire Pit Socials every night and Leavenworth Sight Seeing. All of this crammed into a 4 day Rally did not leave much free time for people. But the beauty of it is that you can pick and choose what you want to do or not do and tailor the Rally to your liking.

By attending these rallys and getting to know some of the people you talk to here on line, you can put faces to the names you see here. We've only been to the La. and Texas rallys so far but we've met some great fun loving people from all over the United States who share the same passion of RVing. We're going to retire the end of the year and start traveling. So much of the U S I want to see and visit. Even though we'll be doing our own thing and sight seeing a lot, we will be looking out for rallys in the area we visit. Be nice to pull into a rally for a few days and visit with old friends and make some new ones for a later date. I was a little timid of attending our 1'st rally but was put to ease by Codycarver (Dave and Amy). I couldn't understand why people would make a trip to an RV park to hang out. Over cocktails at his RV he explained how he would travel across the country to visit old friends who share his passion. Now I understand what he was talking about. After the end of the year and we head up north, he'll be a must visit for us. Owning that Bighorn is just half of the fun. The HOC and rallys are the better half. Make it a point to attend a couple of rallys and you'll never look back. You'll be hooked. Dave explained it so much better than I can.
And you figured right. You will meet some great, knowledgeable people who you can call a friend and that is worth the price of admission alone.

We went to our first rally 5 years ago, when our trailer was 2 weeks old. Meet lots of people that we are still friends with today. A lot of fun...Don

They (Rallies) are a blast!

We've been to three HOC Rallies and one HOC campout, and have four more HOC events on the calender for the next year and a half.

The Heartland Owner's Club is what made us decide NOT to look at other brands when we upgraded our trailer a couple of months ago.

Join the club . . . free for the first year . . . give it a try!

Just wrapping up the OR rally for this year. We did it the weekend after the WA rally. Several of us arrived early at the WA rally because we couldn't wait any longer. After that, 10 or so of us traveled by caravan to an intermediate location to stay a couple of nights before continuing on to the OR rally. We chose to spend over a week with a bunch of other HL owners just because we knew we liked the same things and some of us had met at past rallies. The group also included some brand new members, some former members (now SOB) who happened to be in the area, some friends of members who were traveling together, and some members who were traveling in our area and decided to join us.

We got to visit with old friends, make new friends, participate in different activities alone and as a group, eat lots of good food, drink beverages adult and otherwise, and did I mention we ate lots of good food? We also raised some money for charity while we were at it.

What could be better than that?

Kristy

PS we are already starting to plan for next year just so we have it to look forward to all year.

We had an impromptu mini rally about a month ago down near Colorado Springs . . .

We met up with a couple of Arizona Chapter members (the chapter leader included) on their way home from the National Rally in Goshen and spent the weekend, plus we managed to have a Colorado Chapter Meet & Greet down there as well!

We had a great time . . . plus it was the maiden voyage of our new Heartland Prowler!

As a general rule, the greater the area represented at a rally, the greater the number of seminars, trips, dinners; and activities supported by Heartland RV's Incorporated. The chapter rallies are "small" get togethers, sharing food, camaraderie, maybe a short excursion, and maybe a vendor presentation. Maybe gifts from Heartland.
The Regional Rallies I have attended (especially those in Sparks, Nevada) have had terrific casino buffets and shows paid for by Heartland, along with meats for potluck, along with gifts. The National Rally's have been the big bonanzas with 25 or more vendor booths, full days of seminars, big discounts from major vendors like MorRyde and Lippert, big field trips on buses, Heartland crews fixing 2 items on your rig for free, and a gift give-out by Heartland that started with 5 big screen TV's and took 45 minutes to get a gift to all attendees.

For a while there, as new chapters sprouted up, I tried to make as many new chapter's first rallies as I could, to support the new chapters with a little more attendance at their first rally. I encourage other Heartland owners to take up this mission to help support the new chapters.

See my attached list of 21 Rallies I have attended linked to my signature line.
