Frigidaire refrigerator residential

Please can someone help us out? We just bought our 2015 Big Country 3450 fifth wheel and it has a Frigidaire residential fridge in it. We need to know how to winterized this before the winter. We have read your forum manual but still have questions. We are planning on using antifreeze on the rest of the trailer, but according to your manuals, we should not put this in the lines for the fridge. It says to refer to manual RM1350 but I can not find this manual. If we use air to blow out the lines, do we need to pull the fridge away from the wall? If you connect the air to the outside of the trailer at the 4 way switch will that empty all the water from the lines of the fridge and freezer, or do we have to do other things too? Thank you for your input!

Hi John and Sharon,

Sounds like you've looked at the Residential Refrigerator Guide. The specific instructions on pages 6 - 8 would have you attach the air compressor fitting at the city water inlet.

You don't have to pull the refrigerator away from the wall.

You do have to locate the cutoff valve for the water feed line. At the end of the winterizing procedure, you have to close that valve so water/antifreeze don't get into the feed line. The location of the cutoff varies, but the likely locations are referenced. If you can't find it, grab a flashlight and look under cabinets and behind drawers.

Also before starting, locate the drain valve under the slide.

As the Residential Frig Guide was based on the Frigidaire units, you won't need to refer to the RM1350 info. But if you want to review that, it's here.

You should be aware that there could be minor changes in layout of parts inside the refrigerator. For example, I think they may have changed how the ice cream shelf is mounted.
