Air conditioner runs when furnace is turned on . . . SOLVED

On our first long trip with our new 2015 Prowler . . .

Was kind of chilly this morning (52 degrees), so I thought I'd try out the furnace for the first time.

When I set the digital thermostat to furnace . . . the air conditioner came on.

I thought maybe it would shut off after a few minutes . . . but it didn't!

So when I switched the thermostat off . . . the air stopped and the furnace ran for a couple more minutes before it turned off.

I tried it again . . . same thing.

I'm sure this is not normal . . . any ideas anyone?

OK . . . I found the answer in another thread from a few years back . . .

Have to put the thermostat in fan mode . . . then choose 'auto'.

Just tried the furnace again . . . no more air conditioning!

Here is a link to that thread:

I'm betting you'll need it when we get to the Central City Rally! Good thing you did the trial run.

I'm gonna have to print that out when we get home for future reference!

Thanks everyone for the info!

I did figure it out about two minutes after I asked this question and at the bottom of the page it showed a 'similar thread' asking the same question from about 5 years ago.

Matter of fact . . . running the furnace right now as it was 52 degrees outside a few minutes ago and needed to take the chill out!

The sun is just rising here in Buena Vista, Colorado . . . gonna go out and take a photo in a few minutes!

Here is a sunset shot from our site taken . the night before last:

We are moving west later this morning to Blue Mesa (near Gunnison, CO).
