Hi-Is there any info out there about low overpasses or bridges? Having nightmares about sticking the Bighorn under a bridge. Hope this isn't too dumb of a question.Thanks-bb

While not about low underpasses, we got almost in trouble at a Shell gasstation with low canopy (12.6 '). I finally found the solution. The book called Next Exit list all exits and what to find there, reststops etc. on all the Interstate highways. We now plan our trips with it (our F350 takes only 30 gallons and at 9 mpg...)

One more tip I got from a professional truck driver. When you see the big 18 wheelers go to the left lane, without an apparent reason, do the same! There's probably an underpass with a curved ceiling ahead...

and there is a Trucker's atlas that gives underpass information: Rand Mcnally 2008 Motor Carriers' Road Atlas.
Also our Streetpilot allows me to identify our RV as a "truck". I assume that will help too. It certainly guides me over roads that are easy to drive and avoids the narrow backroads.
