2015 Big Country microwave exhaust fan

We just bought our Big Country and took it out last week, and we noticed that the exhaust fan on the microwave does not seem to be drawing much air. When John checked the outlet it did not seem to be opening. What does he have to do? He did not see any tabs to open it, or did he just miss them? Thanks

There are a couple tabs up there (on the outside, of course). Like our 2015 BC, all the trim outside is black, so it might be tough to see the tabs. A quick climb up a ladder might be required.

You are right! BUT, we just found that they had caulked the taps, so they were not able to be popped. So after taking the cover off, John discovered that the tabs needed to be freed and then he was able to pop the tabs to open. Then a little 3 in 1 oil on the tabs hopefully will make them more user friendly! Thanks so much for your help. I absolutely LOVE this site! It is so much more helpful than our dealer! Sharon
