Rear shelf

We welded a rear shelf for a generator and storage box.

Something to ponder . . . be careful about how much weight you put on it.

Our previous 2013 Heartland Trail Runner had the slide-out rear bumper, and it was only rated for 250 pounds (which also included the spare tire).

The day we picked it up from the dealership there was a 5th-wheeler parked right next to it with the slide-out bumper laying on the ground under it.

I asked the tech who was doing our PDI what happened and he said that the owner had put his generator on that rear bumper and the weight of the generator broke it off . . . while he was towing on the highway!

Glad I wasn't behind him . . .
