We are meandering around Nevada, Utah, Colorado, and Arizona on our way to Rallies in Heber City, UT - Central City, Colorado - Camp Verde, Arizona. We pulled into a Shell Truck Stop in Wendover, UT and saw electric hook up pedestals. They were at the back of a well lighted area next door to a Casino so we decided to stay the night. We called the number on the pedestal to get it turned on, normal fee is $1.00 per hour for 30amp, but since this was our first time, we got 12 hrs. For a total of $2.00... No other charges for the stay.. We never heard of this service before now and available at Truck Plazas nationwide. Web site is www.shorepowerconnect.com - they don't have a large number of locations, but it may come in handy from time to time..

That is pretty cool!

I see there is one at Johnson Corner on I-25 near Loveland, CO . . . not too far from our house!

I've often wondered if or when truck stops would start having electric hookup for trucks or RV'ers.

Did they give you any grief for hooking up with an RV as opposed to a semi truck?

No grief, very welcoming. Actually, their location map shows a star at most every location, which indicates RV friendly.

Thomas Edison must be proud....
You see Tesla charging stations in the most interesting locations as well. (I realize these are a different breed of animal, altogether)
Have filed this information for future use.
Thanks MTPockets!

Truck stops are doing this because you can no longer let the truck engine idle all night. In the past few years all OTR truck engines will shut down in 10 minutes. The 120V outlets are for truckers to use for their A/C units. and battery charging. You can blame this on the EPA/tree huggers. I won't be long and that same thing will apply to our trucks.
