Need electrical help

I called Progressive Dynamics and they have never heard of this happening. (converter is pd9280)
When plugged into a 50 amp pedestal for any length of time, no problems.
When plugged into either of my Honda 2000 generators the lead battery (3/12 volts in parallel) will boil over.
Not every time but sometimes. Took all 3 batteries out and had them tested under load and they were "fine".
All battery connections clean and tight and all ground connections on ground bar clean and tight.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Bret

Re: Need elecrical help

Thanks Dan.
Congrats on the new digs!
Read the article and understand it fully.
This issue just started happening in the past 6 months, never happened before.
Have run well over a thousand hours on these generators with no issues over the course of the past 2.5 years.

I think this would be worth exchanging the converter/charger out with Progressive. They have a reduced charge deal for this. But you need to eliminate the charger as a possible cause of problems. A boiling battery is a big safety hazard with the explosive hydrogen gas produced and the sulfuric acid inside the batteries.
