New York State Inspection

I just picked up my North Trail travel trailer last week. My dealer gave me the registration and an inspection certificate. Do I put the inspection in a window or can I keep it in the tow vehicle? Also, does the trailer have to get inspected every year?

Welcome aboard freex4,

As a former resident of the Empire State, I can say the answer is YES to the annual safety inspection. Here is the Official NYS Equipment Requirement.

From the NYS DMV help site is this tidbit:

Trailer Inspection
An annual safety inspection is required for a trailer. A DMV-licensed inspection station that inspects passenger vehicles and other light-duty vehicles can inspect a trailer. The inspector will give you the inspection sticker. Carry the inspection sticker in the vehicle that tows the trailer.
