Backer Board for Satellite Dish above Ceiling

I would like to see a backer or support board installed just above the padded ceiling in the bedroom between the roof trusses where the satellite dish is prewired to.

When I installed the control mechanism for my Winegard crank-up style dish, I used the 4 required and supplied screws into the padded ceiling. The substrate for the padded ceiling appears to be 1/8" paneling.

I am not opitimisitc that in the long run, from repeated use of the dish, that the 4 screws will remain held securely in that substrate.

Ideally, 5/8" plywood would span "between" the two roof trusses (bottom side) where the satellite wiring is pre-wired. I envision wood cleats recessed 5/8" up from the bottom of each truss and screwed into place, then plywood screwed (not air nailed) onto the cleats between the trusses. Then the padded ceiling over that.

A small additional amount of material and labor for sure but what a difference it would make.
