Reservation Info:------------------------------All reservations must go through Rod and Kelly Ditrich and not the park.

Kelly and I are required to collect all reservations fees, subject to a payment schedule to the park as outlined below. We will also be assigning sites so put on the reservation form listed below if you have any special requests. Attached are 2 group reservation forms (one is PDF and one is in Microsoft Word) to complete and email or send via US Mail back to us (address on the bottom of the form). We will be assigning sites so if you have a specific site request (near a friend, ADA compliant, etc..) please put that in the "special requests" section of the form. The site fees are $36.00 per night during the rally period (Sept 13 - 20, 2017) and normal Seven Feathers RV Resort rates outside of the scheduled rally dates.

PDF----------->43754 WORD FORM---------> 50834

SEE POST #2 FOR THE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS AND THE ATTENDANCE/RESERVATION LIST

The first form is a PDF and can be completed by hand or using Adobe Acrobat. The other is a Word Form if you have Microsoft Word or IOS Pages and can be completed with those programs. For those that are wanting to stay before and/or after the rally (Sept 13th - Sept 20th, 2017) things will change a bit. The park is requiring that Kelly and I make the reservations using the above attached reservation forms. They need to reflect ALL the dates you would like your reservations for. The park has no way to really track what sites people will be staying in during the rally until they get our forms with will be the beginning of sept 2017. So, when people were calling to make their pre and post rally reservations it was too much to try to manage and very confusing for the park. The park has now set aside 46 sites for us that will be held from 9/9/2017 to 9/23/17 (which also includes the rally dates) for people that need pre and post reservations. The first 46 people that want to come early or stay late and get their forms and money to us will get the sites. Those sites for pre/post rally dates (from 9-9-17 to 9-23-17) that are on hold are sites 118-157 and 159-160. What we will need from you:

Those that have already sent reservation forms that want pre and post rally dates will need to send us updated forms including all your dates.
The money we need from you will only be the $36 per night for the the rally dates only. Any pre and post dates will be paid directly to the park when you check in.
The $25 one time per person rally cost.

AGAIN...there are only 46 sites available for pre and post rally dates. ALL FIRST COME FIRST SERVE...So, if you want one HURRY and get your forms in. After we send in our final payment to the park which will be around the 1st of September 2017 the park will be able to tell you if there are any available sites for pre and post reservations be aware you will most likely have to switch sites. We have to have all sites paid in full (100% of all site fees) by September 13th, 2017. The following is a non negotiable payment schedule set up by Seven Feathers RV Resort. The payment schedule is as follows: 1st payment of 33% of the site fees due to Seven Feathers RV Resort no later than May 13, 2017, 2nd payment of 33% of the site fees due to Seven Feathers RV Resort no later than July 13th, 2017 and as stated above, final payment for all reserved sites due to Seven Feathers RV Resort no later than September 13, 2017. On July 13, 2017 they cancel all of the remaining unreserved sites we have reserved for our group and they go back to the park. Any cancellations after July 13th result in a non refundable charge equal to one nights fee, plus any fees that the club is obligated for at that point, such as T-Shirts, Rally Badges, contractual items for catering and vendors. We need to have the above form completed and sent to us with payment for a minimum of your first nights reservation costs ($36.00 plus $25.00 per person, which is the cost of attending the Regional Rally) to Rod and Kelly no later than May 1st, 2017, which allows us the opportunity to pay the first payment in the schedule. You can send your payment in full by May 1st to avoid making any further payments. We need all remaining site fees paid in full no later than July 1st, 2017. This way we have the money to pay the park and meet all future payment schedules. If you cancel before July 13th, then we will refund you completely, including the $25.00 per person Regional Rally Event Fee. If you cancel after July 13th, then you will receive a refund in full minus your first nights site fee. Please PM (https://www.heartlandowners.org/private.php?do=newpm&u=19111) me or email (for20hunter@gmail.com) me for my address to mail the registration form and payment to. T-Shirts are included at no additional cost. Please put your T-Shirt sizes on the attached reservation form for every paid member attending.

Okay all, I am looking for some feedback. We are trying to stay within a budget and want to know what is important to people. Here are the things we are considering. Please let us know which of these items are important to you for the Region Rally.

Friday night catered BBQ Dinner with all the fixings
Saturday night catered dinner at the casino banquet hall
No host (availability to purchase beer, wine or mixed drinks) bar at the Saturday night catered dinner
Sunday morning catered breakfast at the casino
Wine Tasting tour (hire a shuttle or shuttles to take the Umpqua Valley wine circuit tour)
Rally T-Shirts (provided at no cost)
Rally badge pins (the pins that hang on your name tags that list the rally)
No cost Raffle gifts
Indian Drumming ceremony
Classes put on by vendors/dealerships
Golf outing(s)
Ice Cream Social
Beer, Soda, Water, Chips and Snacks provided
K-9 Demonstration by local law enforcement
Tickets at no or reduced cost to casino entertainment (concert, comedian, magician etc...)

Also, would you consider or be offended and put off by having some cost sharing expenses? I am considering charging $25.00 per person in order to help provide a great rally and stay within our budget. This is a big one that I really want some feedback on, so please chime in.

The one thing I would like to know from everyone is what on the list is the most important to them. That way if I get some people that do not want to pay the $25.00 per person, I can gauge what things to consider scaling back on.

Hi,
Whatever you decide is fine and you know we will help however we can. I'm kind of excited about #9. We don't really care about golf or the shows unless they have someone REALLY good. I might suggest muffins etc. Sun. AM rather than another trip over to the casino, but it is up to you. You know how I feel about early mornings.... lol

$25 per person for what you have described is perfectly reasonable. We can talk about chapter stuff and how that could work too.

I am kind of surprised by that. I figured most would not want that, so therefore I would have to scale back my plans.

I want to give a shout out to all in the region who have responded to this rally thread and those who have read all the posts in the thread. I am so encouraged over the support you have given Rod and Kelly on a small cost-sharing element of the rally.

Region Directors work hard at planning their rallies in an effort to present attendees with a lot of opportunity to have a great time. In the past, Heartland RVs has funded Region Rallies in their entirety. As Region Directors want to do even more, to make the event even more special, costs to increase. As I have a limited budget, Region Directors are experimenting with spending a small amount above their budget to do what it is, they want to do for attendees.

I applaud Rod and Kelly for being the first to experiment with the notion of a very small cost-sharing element and I applaud those who've responded in the affirmative that "it's no big deal". Heartlanders are THE BEST!

See you at the rally!

Hi Rod, Would like to weigh-in with our thoughts and priorities on your list of activities for the Regional. I'll list our priorities in descending order - most important to least:

1. Classes put on by vendors/dealerships (also possible "classes" by experienced modifiers/road warriors like Jim Beletti, Paul, Mark C., you, etc.)
2. T-shirts
3. Badge hangers
4. Saturday dinner (either at Casino or catered...also a no-host bar available if at the Casino)
5. Wine tour - really like the idea of hiring a shuttle! LOTS of GREAT wineries around Roseburg!!!!
6. Chips/snacks, waters, sodas, beer (and maybe wine) supplied by HOC
7. no-cost raffle gifts
8. Drumming ceremony
9. K-9 demo
10. Ice cream social
11. Golf outing (really feel that this should be arranged and paid for by those interested)
12. Breakfast at Casino (would rather not have to go back to casino - would prefer a scaled down breakfast - i.e. Continental at the park if possible)
13. No cost or reduced cost concert tickets - feel it would be very unlikely we would be interested.

We would be very willing to contribute $$.

We would also suggest that allowing folks to "participate" via a potluck meet-n-greet, dessert potluck, contributing to the raffle or holding a separate raffle with proceeds going to a specified charity, would inspire people to be more engaged in the activities.

A really fun activity that we did at the Jackson CA Rally in 2014 was a "show off your rig/mods/open house" poker run. People gathered cards a various rigs and a prize was given to the best poker hand. Just a suggestion.

Rod and Kelly, be sure to let us know how we can help!

That is awesome! It wouldn't be considered a Pacific Region Rally without the two of you!! When you get time, if you could just fill out the form on post one and send it to us on the address on the front of the form along with payment that would be great! See you guys this October!

Joy and I plan on attending the full rally. We have been stopping at this resort the last 8 years and love it. We are hosting a rally there the week following this rally for the CDF (Cal Fire) Wagon Train Group. I hope to learn some tips from your rally since this is the first time there for my group. I will be at the resort for a couple of days this year near the end of July.

HEY! Where you guys at? I've been here at Seven Feathers RV Resort for a couple of days, towards a two week stay, and I don't see any signs of a rally! Guess we're too early for even the pre, pre rally.

For or those who haven't been to 7F, this place is really, really nice. It is but a short walk to the casino and they've had a great Beatles tribute band playing at one of the lounges. Sorry we will miss the official rally. Can you have a one-rig pre, pre, pre rally?

****UPDATE, UPDATE, UPDATE****

We have just learned from the park that for those that are wanting to stay before and/or after the rally (Sept 13th - Sept 20th, 2017) things will change a bit. What we will need from you:

1/ Those that have already sent reservation forms that want pre and post rally dates will need to send us updated forms including all your dates.

2/ The money we need from you will only be the $36 per night for the the rally dates. Any pre and post dates will be paid directly to the park when you check in.

3/ The $25 one time per person rally cost.

AGAIN...there are only 46 sites available for pre and post rally ALL FIRST COME FIRST SERVE...So, if you want one HURRY and get your forms in. After we send in our final payment to the park which will be around the 1st of September 2017 the park will be able to tell you if there are any available sites for pre and post reservations be aware you will most likely have to switch sites.

We apologize for the inconvenience but we were just advised of this change by the park.

Thank You for understanding,

Rod & Kelly

George and Sue,

Welcome to the club and glad to hear that you want to join us at Seven Feathers next year in September. All you have to do is:

Complete one of the registration forms that is attached here as well as on the first thread (one is a PDF file and the other is a MS Word file)
Send the completed registration form to Kelly and I with a check or money order for your payment ($36.00/night, plus $50.00 for the rally) to the address listed on the bottom of the registration form
List any site preferences on the registration form
If you plan on arriving before the rally begins or staying after the rally ends, please pick one of the sites listed in orange, as those are the only ones that are potentially available outside of the rally dates (9/13/17 - 9/20/17).
Only pay for the nights you plan on attending that are during the rally. If you come before, or stay after, those fees are paid directly to the park upon checkin.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! We look forward to meeting you both.

Those sites for pre/post rally dates (from 9-9-17 to 9-23-17) that are on hold are sites 118-157 and 159-160. What we will need from you:

1/ Those that have already sent reservation forms that want pre and post rally dates will need to send us updated forms including all your dates.

2/ The money we need from you will only be the $36 per night for the the rally dates only.

Any cancellations after July 13th result in a non refundable charge equal to one nights fee.

UPDATE:

Hey all,

I hope this is reaching everyone in good spirits and good health! The RV Season is rapidly approaching so I hope you are all getting your rigs ready to start camping.

The first post of this thread has been updated. Please if you are planning on attending the rally and have not made reservations, please do so and submit your payment and reservation form ASAP. Also, if you have reservations and have not paid Kelly and I for your site fees at a minimum, please do so ASAP. Per our contract with Seven Feathers Resort, Kelly and I must pay our next payment to Seven Feathers Resort later this month and we need everyone's payments to make that happen. If you have already paid us in full, please disregard this message.

We currently have five signed up. Don't be shy. You need not be of pro caliber to play in this group. We will be playing Cougar Canyon in Myrtle Creek, about a 20 min. drive from camp. The course is in a country setting with nothing but hills and trees. NO homes. So dust off those clubs and join us for a beautiful day of golf. Contact me via above e-mail. Please DO NOT leave me a message on this forum as I don't check it on a regular basis.

GOLFGOLFGOLF:
WE NOW HAVE TEN (10) signed up to play Cougar Canyon on Friday, Sept 15. I have booked three Tee times, starting at 9:30. We have room for two (2) more golfers, SO, IF YOU ARE ON THE FENCE, NOW IS THE TIME TO JUMP OFF. I have asked they set aside an additional tee time as a buffer, but I will need to release that time as early as possible if we don't use it. Things get very busy that time of year. If you signed up, please check the following list for your name. I know I responded to everyone''s e-mail, but I double/triple check everything now days. Contact me at jdfishing@comcast.net. Thank you all and looking forward to a great day of golf at a beautiful course.

GOLFERS ARE: Kramer, Chinn, Anderson, Memmer, Bromley, Hardt P, Hardt C, Sonja, Harlan, Haskin.

We had to pay Seven Feathers for the sites today, so please, if you haven't paid us, get that money to us soon in order to keep your reservation. Also, if you are planning on attending but have not sent us your reservation fee yet, please do so ASAP so we can insure we have a site for you. Hey there everyone,

Kelly and I have set up a wine trolley tour to 3 prominent Umpqua Valley wineries that will be available during the rally. The tour is set for Thursday September 14th, departing approximately 11:30 am and returning approximately 5:15 pm. The trolley would pick everyone up at the park, drive them to 3 prominent Umpqua Valley wineries with lunch included at one of the wineries. The cost would be $55.00 per person which includes transportation, tasting fees and lunch. We need a head count of who would be interested. Please respond ASAP and let us know if this is something you'd be interested in. We need at least 20 people to go in order for us to get the tour scheduled with a maximum of 30 people. Since space is limited, it will be offered at a first come first serve basis.

Also, we have set up a bus tour to the Wildlife Safari Park (https://wildlifesafari.net) in Winston Oregon on Friday September 15th. This will be $35.00 per head and will not include the cost of lunch, which can be purchased separately at the Wildlife Safari Park. This includes bus transportation and entrance fees, the bus will pick attendees up from the RV Park at approximately 8:00 am and returning to the RV park at approximately 1:30 pm. We need a minimum of 15 and maximum number of 28. This will also be on a first come, first serve basis. Please let us know ASAP if you are interested in the Wildlife Safari Park excursion.

Last but not least, we have set up a private Brew Trolley Tour on Monday September 18th departing the park at 11:30 am. Cost includes transportation, tasting fees and lunch at one of the 3 local breweries. The breweries are the Backside Brewery, Two Shy Brewery and the Looking-glass Tap Room. The cost of this is also $55.00 per person. The minimum number of people to make this tour happen is 20 people and the maximum number is 30 people. Space is limited, so please let us know ASAP if you are interested in attending the Brew Trolley Tour. Estimated time returning back to the park is 5:15 pm.

Those interested in any of the tours will need to have funds to us no later than July 1st, 2017, we are required to have the tours paid for in advance to the park by July 12th.

Hey there everyone,

We are in jeopardy of having to cancel the wine trolley tour, beer trolley tour and wildlife safari tour if we do not get more participants. Kelly and I are okay with keeping this rally simple and it appears that is what the majority of the folks want. If we do not get at least 25 people total for each of the trolley tours or 15 for the wildlife safari within the next couple days, they will all be cancelled due to lack of interest.

Also, we have sent emails out for anyone interested in getting a bunch of tickets for the Sawyer Brown concert. If anyone is interested in getting group tickets to that concert, please respond to that email ASAP.

Sincerely,

Rod and Kelly

Unfortunately today we had to cancel the wine trolley tour, wildlife safari and beer trolley tour due to lack of participation and interest from attendees. We are sorry that it did not work out for those that listed their intent to attend. For those that have paid us, we will mail your check back to your or shred it. We have sent those of you that have paid already emails, so just let us know in the email what you would prefer.

Just because we had to cancel the group tours, does not mean that folks can not get together and do them on their own or in smaller groups, it just will not include the transportation or lunch that would have been provided in the group tours.

On another note, for those that still have an outstanding balance due for the rally, please send Kelly and I the remainder of your payment soon, as we have to make our second payment to Seven Feathers soon.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone in just a few months!!

It took me a bit to find this as I couldn't see it in the Oregon section, so much for me looking around the forums, lol... Kelly told me about this on FB and we may try go to this (it would be our first) rally. However, in a few days we start out on a 7300 mile round trip Summer RV trip from Oregon, to Delaware (hitting Yellowstone and Mt. Rushmore on the way) for my nieces wedding, then after the wedding heading south to Florida (hitting a few sites on the way) for some theme parks with the kiddos, then finally a trek back to Oregon (stopping in St. Louis and Denver for a bit).

My wife is currently unsure if we should book anymore RV stuff until we get back because we might not want to go out again for a while, lol...

So we get back in early August, when is the latest date we can give a go/no-go for attending?

It's simple Rod. You try to put a little ball in a 4" hole 400 yds away by hitting it four times or less with some very expensive sticks with funny looking heads on them. That's it! And you have to handle frustration well. You would be good if you tried. The scenery is worth the ride.

Beginners often do not keep score and pick the ball up when they feel they have hit it enough on any given hole. Your partner would keep you on pace.

Hey all! I'm super unfamiliar with navigating the the west/northwest. We'll be coming to Canyonville via Red Lodge, Montana. I looked at some routes in Google Maps and I've overlaid those 3 routes onto the area Fire Map.

The map below picks up my route, 141 miles into the drive, at Bozeman, MT. Looking at the roads and terrain, I've pretty much eliminated the red and green routes and I'm pretty solid on the blue route, traveling through Butte, Missoula, Spokane, Kennewick, Portland, Salem and Eugene.

Question - if you had to trek from east of Bozeman, MT to Canyonville, OR, and factoring in regional fires/smoke, would you take the blue route? If not, can you advise deviations you'd make?

We haven't made any reservations along the way but are planning to take 4 days to cover the 1,100 miles.

We are traveling from South Dakota the route you have mapped out in blue. Right now we are in Kennewick for the week. We haven't come across any of the fire issues yet. The drive you mapped out is very beautiful. The green route would put you thru a lot of the high dessert, very boring drive. We are headed to the Washington rally from here and than down to Canyonville. Look forward to meeting you at the rally.

Jim,

I would take your blue route, which is about 2 hours shorter and a very nice drive. Its a beautiful drive with lots of nice scenery and most of it is 2 lanes each direction or more. We have driven all of the routes and they are all good roads that you can haul our rigs on without a lot of issues.

The trip through the Columbia River Gorge when you drop down to I-84 from Tri-Cities can be a little windy sometimes, but not too bad. If you are looking for a nice place to stay, Boardman RV Park and Marina (http://boardmanmarinapark.com/boardman-marina-park-RV-campground.html) is a beautiful park to stay in and is literally right off of I-84 not to far from when you get on it.

Jim,

The blue route is nice, but depending on what you want to do on your way here, I'd recommend a slightly different path.

Bozman to Spokane and then enjoy the Silerwood Theme Park. I have never been, but I've heard it is nice and the RV Resort is also suppose to be nice.

Spokane to Bend.
Now, call NOW for reservations to Crown Villa RV Resort. No question the best RV Resort in Bend. Then enjoy Bend! It is awesome. More breweries than anywhere else. Just a great "downtown" experiance. Plan to stay here 3-4 nights...you will really enjoy it. Here is a link to a video I just created, showing the entrance to Crown Villa. We stayed here for 8 nights...could have done a month EASY! Note...if you need WiFi from the park, get one of the sites closer to the Clubhouse. We were in the pull-through sites and couldn't really use their WiFi, but that is fine, as we have unlimited data on our phones and hotspot.

From Bend, it will be an easy 3.5 hour drive to Canyonville, down Hwy 97 to Hwy 138.

Note...you WILL encounter some smoke along the way. Oregon is in TERRIBLE fire season and there is simply no avoiding it.

The main reason I am recommending you go down Hwy 97 to Bend is to enjoy more of Central Oregon. If you go the other way to Portland and then down I-5, it is really boring...just a long freeway.

Look forward to meeting you.

That is too bad...you're missing a great place to visit.

I see you're thinking of a stop in Salem. You can try Premier RV Resort (we never been) or Champoeg State Park.

Funny you mention that. I've already backed up from Boardman to smooth out the daily mileage a bit and selected Columbia Sun RV Resort as it fit the mileage I wanted and has an amazing score (http://www.rvparkreviews.com/regions/washington/kennewick/columbia-sun-rv-resort) on RVParkReviews.com.

Not making reservations anywhere just yet - still tweaking the plan :)

Jim and anyone else traveling I-84. Keep in mind they had a terrible fire along the gorge close to Portland. Right now, I-84 is closed in both directions from milepost 17-62. They are looking at the best time to reopen when the fire is not a threat. So if you are traveling that way, you may have to take a detour to the Washington side via Bridge of the Gods in Cascade Locks or on the Oregon side via Highway 35 out of Hood River to Highway 26. Oregon Trip Check is a good site to look at when traveling Oregon highways (www.tripcheck.com) or you can download to your mobile device also. Everyone travel safely and see you in Canyonville.

Agree...

Here is a snapshot from Google Maps, showing the closure. Not sure when folks had plans to use I-84, but you need to make alternate plans for the near future. I'd recommend Highway 97 to Highway 58 to Eugene to Highway 138 to Roseburg (both will drop you out at I-5)

14 has some narrow tunnels. All of our rigs can fit through them, but it is tight.

Jim....

1 - Low Tunnels
2 - Only one lane each way
3 - Rolls through small towns
4 - Worst of all...with I-84 closed (Freeway) a LOT of folks will be using that, which I think will result in some major traffic.

What about 97 south from 84 at Biggs Junction, down to 20 to 126 then west to Eugene?

Unsure what 126 is like going through Willamette National Forest.

Jim, think you are close to the preferred route. Take 97 from Biggs Junction south through Madras and into Redmond. Take 126 west out of Redmond through Sisters and up to Santiam Junction where you take the left branch at the junction and continue on 126. There is a sharp left turn to continue on 126 about five miles from the junction. Do not take the Highway 20 route to Albany, bad curvy road. Once you stay on 126 there, it is a straight shot to Springfield and I-5. Your GPS should take you from there to Canyonville. Hope that helps.

If I stay here, I'll be coming "from" the north, so I should be good. But I had to look for the bridge to the south anyway :) Here it is:

Funny you should post that...I missed the sign and and had to find a place to turn around. Fortunately, there was a spot just before the "B" in your picture.

Here are the directions from Crown Villa's web page. WE followed these the 2nd time we went. LOL

HWY 97 – Southbound (from Redmond, Oregon)

When approaching Bend on HWY 97 from the North, stay on the HWY 97 Bend Parkway (NOT Business 97/3rd Street).
Continue South on the Parkway approximately 3 miles to Exit #139 (Reed Market Rd).
From the exit turn LEFT on to Reed Market Rd at the light.
Turn RIGHT onto American Lane, which becomes Brosterhous Rd.
After you pass Murphy Rd, Crown Villa’s entrance is 100 yards on the right.
After entering the driveway, pull up to the RV parking area on the RIGHT side, on the paver bricks by the brick wall.
Pull as far forward and as close to the brick was as possible.
Please shut OFF your engine before entering the Reception Office.
