Cabinet around fireplace 2010 Bighorn 3055

I want to change a bulb in my fireplace. The cabinet has a trim piece across the upper part of the glass. Using a glass suction cup, I can move the glass but it hits against the metal at the top which cannot be moved back. The only way I can see to remove the glass is to cut the trim off. Any suggestions?

On many of the fireplaces, there's fake wood trim on the top and sides. Once pried off, there are several screws holding the fireplace in place. With those out, you can slide the fireplace out to work on it. Some of the metal frame will probably have to be removed to get to a point where the glass can be slid out.

You can remove the metal trim around the fireplace by simply pushing up from the bottom of the two sides. The trim will just pop off of the clips that hold it. You can then remove four screws holding the fireplace and it slides right out.

Since Heartland has used several different styles of fireplace as well as trim, could you post a picture of your particular fireplace?
Here a couple of pics of the tool I used for my fireplace trim removal.

Peace
