I think the fixture gets replaced. A few years ago when Heartland started using those fixtures, the parts dep't was selling them for around $14. Call Heartland Customer Service at 877-262-8032 / 574-262-8030. Have your VIN # ready.
Those are not made with replacement in mind.
But, I think that you could get something like THIS and along with some solder and glue you could have a worthy improvement.
