2015 Road Warrior 415 GVWR

My 2015 Road Warrior 415 has a GVWR of 18000 lbs. The problem is the dry weight is 15,900 lbs, as per the public scales I just weighed it at today. Add 900 lbs of fresh water, and approx. 300 lbs of fuel, and now I'm at 17,100 lbs, leaving me a mere 900 lbs of payload. I can't load my 1600 lb side by side, then the additional weight of food, clothes, tools and other misc. camping stuff. I would be at least 1000-1500 lbs over my GCWR.

I saw the same year/model 415 that was manufactured a few months later now has a 20,000 lb GVWR. They are using the same weight rated axles as mine, and I called Hartland to see what was changed mid-year to increase the GVWR to 20K, but they were vague and just said it wasn't possible to increase mine from what was already shown on the label. I get that you can't change what's on the weight rating label, but if it's something as simple as getting a higher rated kingpin box, I would go for it. Any recommendations?

You can look at the rating of your pin box. Should be stated on it. If axles are same, did tires move from E rated to G rated? Rating is derived from weakest link. I know Heartland revised their ratings higher. My 305RW was 14,900 GVWWR and was changed to 15,500 for 2015 with no apparent changes.

My tires are G rated and axles are 7000 lbs. The pin box is tagged with 18000 lb rating. I don't know what else could have added another 2000 lbs of cargo capacity other than changing out the pin box.
