Securing Items with Museum Gel

At the Quanah Rally rig walk through, my wife mentioned to someone about using Museum Gel to secure items so they won't move during travel, but she can't remember who it was so I'm posting a picture of it here if anyone wants to get a jar. I sometimes use butyl tape--it also works well.

Rex - it may have been me who mentioned it to her. I really enjoyed visiting with you guys in your RV.

I used a product similar to anchor down 2 lamps and a desk clock in the RV that do not move during travel. Love the stuff. Santha Allen (GA) told me about it a few years ago. Here's one I got from Hobby Lobby.

We used it (museum putty) onboard our boats to secure lamps and other items while underway and we use it in our BH. We also use it to assist in securing pictures and mirrors to the walls. Never found a residue that wasn't easily removable by blotting with new museum putty. We've used it for at least 15 years.
