Gateway 36BH Fender Skirts

I have a 2015 Gateway 36BH, last year I noticed that both fender skirts had cracks, only near where the screws attach the skirt to the 5th wheel. While travelling some of the screws loosened and fell out due to fender skirt movement. I trouble shot and found that that there is a lack of support from the trailer to the skirt. I replaced the fender skirts and bought some stiiff thin gauge metal and built some supports to help the skirt from moving during travelling and eventually breaking. So this year took out of stoarge and noticed cracks again. I removed the fender and these skirts are VERY thin and flimsy. Anybody have any suggections on how to help?

Thank you

One of the very first things I do after getting a new rig is to take each of the fender skirt screws out, put a small nylon washer on them, coat the threads with silicone, and reinstall. So far after three trailers we have not had a fender crack or lost a screw.
