Excursion exhaust manifold stud replacement = better MPG?

So. After a on going 3 weeks I replaced the exhaust manifold studs on my V10 excursion. It was fun. Any way seems to have improved my mpg a little. Maybe? Just my imagination? I get my O2 sensor could have been reading low. Dumping more fuel. But the little bit I have used it, seems the gauge slowed down. Or it's broken now..:p
Any one else experience similar results?

Believe it or not, an exhaust leak can affect exhaust scavenging and the O2 sensor. Not uncommon to have a leak affect fuel air mixture, making the ECM think it has a lean condition.
