What NOT to do with your 5th wheel

DW - Honey, do you think the tide is coming in??

DH - Nah...we have plenty of time, have another drink.

Saw that picture a couple of years ago. What what people think when they go camping on the beach.

I had a uncle who stopped in Daytona on his honeymoon on his way to south Florida. This was about 45 years ago. They wanted to drive on the beach.Back then you could drive on it.They parked there car on the beach ,took a walk, got something to eat and went to there hotel. A few hours later they went to get the car and it was in about 3 feet of water because the tide came in.I don't remember what happen to the car,but they never forgot there honeymoon.

One of the reasons I don't like driving on the beach & will not park the camper on the beach. Another is my fear of getting stuck.

Our one and only visit to Daytona/New Smyrna Beach several years ago (sans trailer) was that it was a dump. Cars on the beach are a big turn-off.
