We have the model, where the TV swivels into the bedroom. When we put a DVD in, and try to turn up the volume on the TV only, we dont get any sound. The only sound we can use is through the ceiling speakers, which of course, will keep the kids awake.

Anyone have this issue and know of a fix?

Thanks in advance.

Hi dwlandis,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum and to the family. We have a great bunch of folks here with lots of information and all willing to share their knowledge when needed.

I'm sure some of our other members will jump in soon, but you might try the control for the front and rear speakers. Also the DVD player may be plugged into the wrong place on the TV.

Be sure and check out our Heartland Owners Club. Join us at a rally when you can and meet lots of the great folks here and make friends for a lifetime.

Enjoy the forum and your new unit.

You'll need to check how the DVD player is connected to the TV. HDMI cables carry audio and video together and you should get both when the correct input is selected on the TV. With AVI cables (Y/R/W) you have to ensure the audio (R/W) connections go from the sound system output to the TV input. Sometimes it's set up for the other direction so that you can run the TV audio through the sound system, which many people want to do. If component connections were used (B/R/G), you need a separate audio cable (R/W).
