When water gets in it must be allowed to get out. Perhaps you trapped the water inside the walls. I had a two inch opening in the calking and I knew that water could have and must have gotten in since I had just washed it with a hard spray. I waited seven hot 95* plus days before fixing the calking. You have to allow the water a path to get out before sealing everything up. I hope your, I assume delamination problem, will stop.
