Found a potentially nasty 120V issue this weekend

I was testing a 120V/Current meter. When I opened the AC side of the the box to install the meter, I found the 30 Amp Feed wire into the master breaker was wrapped tight against a ground line from one of the other circuits. It looks like it had been done when the master breaker was installed or possibly replaced.

I was able to reroute the master feed so that it was not against anything. There was black insulation on the white of the ground wire, It rubbed off with my finger and luckily there was no arcing. If I had not found this, eventually the insulation could have been damaged causing a short circuit and possibly a fire. Please make sure your wires are routed appropriately in the breaker box.

I think if the insulation had rubbed off and the hot wire made contact with the ground, the dead short would have immediately tripped the campground pedestal's breaker.
