Getting cold in Idaho might be time to winterize.
I have read the manual still lost.
There is a only a hole where the winterizing connection is.
Inside compartment there is extended line from the water pump so I assume previous
owners either hooked up antifreeze bottles there or air compressor.

I still dont know what to try the air compressor method people talk about or the antifreeze method.

Hoping i can get some insight from 3950 owners. And pros cons on the compressor or antifreeze method.

Hi idahobrett,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum.

I'm not sure 3950 is unique to any particular Heartland model, so without knowing the year and model, you're only going to get good guesses.

If you'll fill us in on the rest you'll probably hear from owners of the same year/model.

In the meantime, you may find our owner-written Winterization Guide helpful.

Yep....RV Antifreeze for your neck of the woods. Here in the PNW, we can get away with just blowing out the lines and putting antifreeze in the P-Traps of each sink.

The Winterization Guide describes what needs to be done and has some pictures to help. Your water heater bypass valves are likely behind the rear wall of the pass through basement storage, near the water connections.
