Tree sap on rubber roof

I know that kerosene is good for removing tree sap from vehicles as it won't damage paint. Has anyone used kero to remove sap from rubber roofs?

Hi veteran,

Dicor makes the rubber roof and says: "IMPORTANT: Some products sold for RV maintenance contain petroleum distillates and citric ingredients. These chemicals will damage your roof membrane and shorten its life."

I believe kerosene would fall within that warning.

At home I get sap from the pine trees on the roof.
I just leave it alone cuz I'm the only one that knows it's there.
Well not any more.

Peace

While at home i have no choice but to park my fiver under pine trees as thats all that surrounds my house.. So far it hasn't done anything. I wouldn't worry about it.

Don't know how it would work on the roof, but when I was a tree climbing kid butter used to work on my hands and arms.
