Converter upgrade?

I've got a 2012 Greytone with a failing WFCO 65 amp converter. I can replace it with the same thing but am wondering if I should upgrade to a newer version. Any suggestions would be appreciated. 99% of the time we are on shore power so the only real time it's used is while traveling.

Hi Reeveshul,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum.

The Power Converter is used pretty much all the time you're on shore power, and doesn't do anything when unplugged from shore power. It provides power to your interior 12V DC devices, in cooperation with the battery, and also keeps the battery charged.

If there's a newer version available, I would expect it would work, but might be more expensive than the original version. Unless there's some benefit you expect from a new model, I'm not sure it would be worth paying extra.
