So I have a 2015 GMC 3500 4x4 DRW right now. I tow a 2014 Road Warrior 415RW. Looking at the Ford specs the F350 4x4 SRW has a tow rating almost the same as my DRW GMC. What are your thoughts on switching to one of these trucks? I've told myself I wasn't going to buy another truck for a long time but the maintenance and the parking problems of a daily driven DRW vs SRW almost make me want to go ahead and switch if it is just as capable as my current rig. I can't find payload numbers that make any sense on either truck. I picked up a brochure from Ford and they have 14 different payload amounts for the f350 SRW 4x4.

Thanks,

P.S. sorry this is completely off topic.

Key words there are "Max".
Those numbers will change depending on things like what body style, crew cab, single cab, rear differential ratio, long bed, short bed.
So you really need to know exactly how the truck is configured.

Peace

Re: Project LM 365

That's a tuff call.
I love this new truck.
If you do a lot of towing I'd stick with a DRW.
It's a lot more stable but If not I would think the SRW will get it done. Just not as safely.
How big is your rig ?

43' triple axle. I'm total weight around 33,500 with the camper and my utv in the back right now.

Re: Project LM 365

You need a DRW Truck.
Your carrying your family in the truck.
The truck can handle the load but the single rear tires are pushing there limits.
If you said a 35' regular fiver I'd say switch.

If the tires are the only thing concerning, I ran those toyos with 3570 per tire on my last f250 and it Towed my camper fine for over a year... I know the truck was overloaded though. I never had any issues though.
