Range Vent

First time out with the travel trailer (Mallard M32), cannot not seem to get the exhaust fan over the range to turn on. I have opened the vent on the outside but still will not come on. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi mneisler1,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum. Although it's a good idea to have the outside vent open, I don't think it's related to whether the fan comes on.

We have a couple of Mallard owners who are active on the forum so I'd expect you'll get some feedback shortly on how to get the fan running.

Welcome! I have an M32 as well and while it is currently tucked away in a barn (Iowa winter) I am suddenly wondering if our range vent works (we haven't had the camper that long and we almost always cook outside).
First start with the easy - check fuses. After that I'd probably start at the hood and double check to make sure the hood is even wired in (does the light come on?). My guess is a poor or non-existent connection; with luck it will not be too bad to find!
