Announcing our First Central California Rally

Date: October 10-13, 2008
Location: Jackson Rancheria RV Park http://www.jacksoncasino.com/lodging/rv_park.aspx (http://www.jacksoncasino.com/lodging/rv_park.aspx)
Jackson, CA 800-822-9466
Site fee: $30.00 (group rate w/10+ reservations)
$35.00 (if less than 10 reservations)

This is a very nice RV park located in the beautiful Gold Country! Ammenties include swimming pool, spas, dog park, a walking path around the RV park and a 24 hr. shuttle available to Casino. I have reserved a block of 14 RV sites. Please post a reply on this thread so we can get an idea of how many will be attending. If we can fill up these 14 spaces early, they will give us a few more. You can also call early to make your reservations, tell them you are with the "Heartland Owners RV Group".

Looking forward to meeting everyone and we're going to have LOTS of fun!

HI

Look forward meeting local members. Kathy and I will put it on our calendar. Is this a three day Rally coming in on Friday and leaving on Monday? or a four day leaving on Tuesday?

THANK YOU for offering to help, I will certainly let you know if help is needed! :) I am planning an Appetizer pot-luck the first night (Friday) of the Rally and a BBQ Dinner pot-luck on Saturday. If you have any other suggestions, let us know! You're pretty close to Jackson, we are about an hr away. Please be sure to make your reservations with the park and tell them you're with the Heartland Owners group. Art & I will be arriving a day early.

My sister and brother don't have a Heartland, but are our camping buddies. We have not been camping without them in about 2 years. They have a 40' Winners Circle. Is it alright if they come?

I called Jackson Rancheria to reserve a site - they have no record of "Heartland Owners." Is it under someone's last name??

First, I want to apologize to those who have called and tried to make reservations directly with Jackson Rancheria and were not able to. :o I have just re-read my Contract with them and you do NOT need to call them for your reservations. I have to do that for you!

We have a new reservation cut-off date of Sept 21st. For those of you wanting to attend, please post on this thread or send me email. I need to know your first & last name and those you are inviting as your guest (needing their own RV site). I will call them myself after the cut-off date to give them the list of names of all who are attending. We only have 14 sites available. Any sites that are not assigned with a name will be released by them.

When you check in at the RV park, give them your name and tell them you are with the Heartland Owners group. You will be asked to verify your departure date and pay for your stay at that time.

Any questions, ideas or suggestions you may have for the Rally, please post or email me.

Thanks,
Teresa

We are in. We were just there visiting relatives at Jackson rancheria for the day the weekend before last and won some money. It is a very nice park especially on the outside but groups are usually in the middle. We were debating on comming due to our BH living at the dealership untill some issues were solved. I wasn't going to take it until it was done done. Well it isn't entirely done but a couple of parts are on order from where they scratched and dented it while it was in there shop. Enough of that we are looking forward to comming and meeting everyone.

Hi everyone!
We've got 2 more that just signed up to join us for the Rally and we now have 11 spaces filled. Only 3 spaces left!!! We're getting a good size crowd, isn't this exciting?! It's going to be so much fun!

I want you all know that I had to sign a contract with Jackson Rancheria in order to get the discounted rate and to reserved these spaces so that we can all be parked together. If for any reason, you are unable to make it to the Rally, you need to let me know ASAP or no later than Oct 5th. Otherwise, I will be responsible for paying for your reservation dates out of my own pocket and I don't want to do that!! Being that we are not an official Chapter yet, I couldn't ask everyone for payment up front for their reservations, so I'm taking a chance at doing this for us.

I have a few plans for us! We'll do the Rally will have a Halloween Theme. The first evening of the Rally, we will do a Happy Hour w/BYOD (bring your own drink) and then an Appetizer Potluck, so we can all introduce ourselves & get to know one another. Saturday evening, we'll do a Dinner Potluck and also play a game where everyone is a winner! Each person who wants to participate in this game must bring a gift worth at least $10. unwrapped. It's a fun game! We'll explain the details of the game at the Rally. Any questions, please email me. This is my first time hosting a rally, so if anyone has any other ideas or suggestions or would like to help, feel free to post on this thread or email me...all input is very much appreciated. Also, since we do not get any funds from Heartland to help with our rally, anyone willing to help with donating plates, cups, bowls, plastic utensils, napkins or Halloween decorations, snacks or whatever is also appreciated!

Looking forward to meeting everyone and having fun!

There are a few of us who will be arriving at the Rally a day earlier, Thursday Oct 9th. If anyone else is interested, please let me know ASAP, so that I can get a reservation in for you. We still get the same discounted rate of $30.00.

NOTE: The weekend of our Rally (Fri, Sat & Sunday) is now fully booked at the RV Park, meaning there are NO more sites available other than our 3 sites left that I have reserved for our Group. So, if you want to join us, get on the list now! This is a very popular new RV Park, so it gets booked very quickly!

Hi,

Just logged on the site for the first time today and found out about the Jackson Rancheria get together and we would like to attend for the full event. If there is room left, I will ask my brother-in-law and his wife if they would like to come too. They don't have a Heartland RV, but from reading this site, I see that you welcome other RVers in your events.

Please let me know what you need from me in order to register.

Thanks,

Hi,

This is my first attempt at doing this kind of thing. I just logged onto this site for the first time today. We own a Heartland Big Horn 3400RE and love it!!!

I read about your NoCal Rally in Jackson Rancheria and would like to be added to your group if that is at all possible.

We are John & Shirley Thompson and if you would, you can email me at: bestinsurance@charter.net and let me know if you can make it happen. If there is additional room I will ask my brother-in-law if he would like to come too with his wife.

Hope this message gets through. I couldn't find my first posting.

Hi John & Shirley~

Welcome to the Heartland Forum! I'm sorry to say that we are fully booked for our Fall Central/CA Rally and there are no other available spaces at the RV park at this time. However, I will put you on our "waiting" list and you'll be the first to know if there is a cancellation. I will also be calling the RV park on Saturday, Sept 20th to see if there are any other cancellations from the other groups who have reservations there. Also, keep checking this thread for any updates. Let's hope that something comes up and that you'll be able to join us!

Hi everyone~

I have decided to change the dates of our Potlucks. Appetizer potluck will now be held on Saturday evening and the Dinner Potluck will be on Sunday evening. Times will be announced at a later date.

Friday, most of you will be checking into the RV Park and will need the time to set up your rigs and get settled in. Check-in time is 3:00pm. This will also give us a chance for meet & greet each other, to explore the RV park, go to the Casino, relax or gather together for chat. :)

I would like some input from you guys!!! This is our FIRST Rally and I can't plan this all by myself, I'm sure some of you have some ideas(??). ;)

Since we will have 14 Rigs and about 28 people attending, I have an idea on how to defray the cost of purchasing paper plates, cups, plastic utensils, napkins, etc needed for the Rally. This suggestion was from the Wagon master of my other RV group! So, what do you think?? We can do:
50/50 Raffle - winner gets 50% of money collected & other half for Rally misc.
Prize Raffle - everyone may donate a gift relating to RVing, we sell tickets & draw names for the winners. Money collected, pays for rally misc.
Anything left over can be saved for future rallies!

We will also be playing a game. EACH person who would like to participate will bring a gift worth at least $10. (unwrapped, but placed in brown grocery bag). One or two people can play from each Rig, the more gifts we have, the more fun the game is! :D

ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!

Here is an update on who will be attending:

Art & Teresa (us...)
John & Lori (our SOB friends)
Butch & Stacy (gmc)
Deb & Ray (slmayor)
Marybeth (flamingknitter)
Dave & Kathy (dtvista)
Jim & Lucy (our SOB friends)
Kevin & Henny (Kevin and Henny White)
Greg & Shelly (Shadowchek)
Dale & Judy (dbarnrd)
Steve & Sharon (sharmulst)
Troy & Carol (dtvista-SOB friends)
Steve & Diana (silverfox)
John & Shirley Thompson (HappyT)

Remember...if you are unable to attend the Rally, PLEASE let me know ASAP so that I can cancel your reservation. I don't want to be responsible for paying for your reservation! I have a waiting list for those who want to attend and this would give them a chance.

Any questions, please email me or post on Thread! Thanks...

Hi TessaM,

First of all, let me explain that my wife Shirley is a Halloween Nut!!! She decorates more for Halloween than for Christmas.

We just got back from Gold Beach, Oregon late last month and while we were there they had a "Pot Luck Dinner" where everyone brought their own plates, utensils, and drinks.

Shirley and I would like to donate enough paper plates, napkins, and forks for the Appetizer potluck, and...for the potluck dinner, we would also like to donate a Halloween Commemorative Melamine full size dinner plate for each person to keep as a momento of the first NoCal/Central Cal FALL Rally along with enough napkins and forks for everyone. Since the theme of the event is Halloween, all the items supplied will carry that same theme. If you accept this offer, everyone only needs to bring their own drinks. Hope you like this idea. Please let us know right away if you can.

The 50/50 raffle and the raffle prize ideas sound like fun and why not do at least one of them as well. The left over money can be applied to next time. Whatever the group wants, we are here to help.

We are excited about the Rally!!!

Hi HappyT (John & Shirley),

You have no idea how excited and grateful I am that you are offering all of this for our FIRST CENTRAL CA Rally (jumping up & down here)!! :D YES, of course I will accept your gracious offer!! :) Wow, how exciting to have all the supplies with a Halloween theme which makes it even more fun & special for us. So nice of you to also give everyone a Halloween Commemorative Melamine dinner plate as a memento to keep too!

We will also be having a special guest at our Rally which I will announce soon. Seems like our Rally is all coming together and it's going to be alot of fun!

You've just made it easier for everyone if all they have to do is bring their own drinks and a dish to share for each Potluck. :) And of course, donate a gift for the Gift Raffle!

THANK YOU so much, I REALLY APPRECIATE IT!!!!!

Hi Teresa,

I just read your positive response to our offer to provide supplies (plates, napkins, etc.) for the two potlucks at the rally. We are very happy to help, and we can do more if you would like.

We just got back from the store and have purchased all the supplies. It's a good thing that we did this early. Halloween items in the stores are already being picked over quite a bit, and now they already have some Christmas items out on the floor for display.

As for the appetizer potluck that is still up for grabs, but for the potluck dinner Shirley is bringing her "World Famous", well maybe not so world famous POTATO SALAD!! Anyway, I think it is really good. //heartlandowners.org/images/icons/icon7.gif Just thought we would tell you now so that if anybody asks you'll know what is coming. I'll probably BBQ a meat dish as well.

Looking forward to seeing and meeting everyone soon!!!//heartlandowners.org/images/icons/icon10.gif

The plans for our rally is now in motion and it'll be a Halloween Theme! John & Shirley (HappyT) has graciously offered to provide the paper plates, napkins & forks for both our Appetizer & Dinner Potlucks. Hey Bob!

YEAH... some of us are looking forward to meeting him! Ohh, there'll be LOTS of food, I've got 2 Potlucks planned and bringing extra. :) Hey, why don't you come out and join us?! I've got one open space left. It'll end a few days before your rally in Pachenga and you'll have plenty of time to make it back. :D Art & I are planning to be down there in Pachanga next April for an RV rally with our old group, maybe we can plan another Heartland rally there around the same time too!

Teresa, we will probably have a rally in April like this year. Has your gang ever thought of Vail lake instead?? It's about 15 minutes from Temecula and really a pretty place. Enjoy your rally, maybe we can get "crash" to come up and join you. BTW, did J.B. get you a banner?? If he did make sure everybody sign's it. You know what, a Calif rally and about 5 month's to plan it. WOW, what a great idea, thanks. Bob:D:D:eek:

Hi Bob,

That would be great if you have a rally next April, we can try to make it as long as it's close to the dates of the other rally. The person who is hosting that RV rally did all the planning and the dates are already set for Pechanga. They are our "old" group, meaning we are now SOB's since we purchased our new Bighorn, but since we used to be members, we can still attend their rallies. I just talked with Jim B. and Larry on the phone and they're having a BLAST at the Vegas rally. Larry, or should I say "Crash" :D will be joining us now! Deb (Slmayor), who did the Nor/Ca spring rally will be brining her banner for us to use (it's already been signed by their group). Jim said he didn't have any extra ones.... but, I'll bug him to see if he can get us another new one. ;) :D

It would be great if we can get the Central & Southern Calif groups together for a Rally! No problem for us to drive to So Calif. We used to always go to Chula Vista RV Resort (we love it there) and thats a long drive for us!

I am planning to bring a grape salad for the potluck on Sunday. I can hardly wait. Watch out Jim - I have lots of questions. When I picked up my rig from Affordable RV in Newcastle, I told them about our rally and they indicated that they may stop in and visit on Saturday.

Hi Tess,
Debbi and I are excited about joining you for the NoCal/CentralCal Rally. We just came home from the great Las Vegas rally with Karen and Forrest as our wonderful hosts. Btw,Take everything that Cranky Bob says with a grain of salt and lime. He is a real card. JimBo was there in LV and what a great job he has, and he is the encyclopedia of info on all our Heartland rigs, and somehow he knows just what add ons to put on your rig. So far he has convinced me to buy rotochocks, wrapncoil shower head, JT stabilizers, and much, much more and all I had to do was feed him. LOL

Any ideas on where to stay maybe an hour north of Bakersfield off of the 99, as we are driving up from San Clemente? We will update you after I check with DW as to what we will bring for the potlucks. Look forward to meeting some new friends and having a blast! Thanks for the invite.

HI EVERYONE...THE AGENDA FOR THE RALLY HAS BEEN POSTED. I'm waiting to hear from some of you to comfirm your reservation.

LarryHeadhunter - Nice talking to you and Jim on the phone when you were in Vegas. You guys are hilarious and I'm looking forward to meeting you both in person. I don't know of any place an hour north of Bakersfield. However, in Bakersfield there is "A Country Park RV" which is from jct Hwy99 & Hwy 58 East, go 6 miles on Hwy 58, then one block south on Fairfax & enter driveway on right at "622 S. Fairfax Rd". PH # (661)363-6412. We always stay there on our way back from Vegas! We've been to others in the area and they're not as nice or clean. Be sure to ask for a grassy site and they're all pull-thru's so you'll love it! LOL The only other one I know is that "Lakes & RV Resort" north of Fresno (Chowchilla) that I sent you info on, it's new and we haven't been there yet.

Ziggy - A 'combined' California rally will (possibly) be planned for next April in southern CA. Take this time to recover so you'll be strong & can really enjoy yourself for the rally next spring.

Flammingknitter - I've got your reservation set to come in a day early on Oct 9th & you'll be parked with the Heartland block....see you there on Thursday!

Slmayor - Thank you! It's a lot of hard work, but it's well worth it for all of us to get together and make new friendships with other Heartland owners.

Hi everyone,
I guess we are the only representatives from socal. For Saturday appetizer potluck my beautiful DW Debbi is going to make a delicious yummy Raspberry Cheese Pie with crackers, that is out of this world.
For sunday's potluck the DW will make a veggie green salad with dressing. Theresa, is there any need for main dishes or we all be eating hot dogs and burgers?

Btw, we found a KOA in Visalia, near Goshen, about an hour north of Bakersfield for an overnight stopover. It will leave us about 3 hrs drive to Jackson. Anyone heard of this campground? Cya all soon.

Hi Larry,

Yes, you are the only one coming from So Cal and we're happy to have you join us. Then when you go to the next rally, you can tell them what a GREAT group Central Cal has and they're going to wish they had come too! LOL Rasberry cheese pie sounds yummy, better make 2, there's 30 of us. :D For Sundays Dinner Potlulck, one person did mention that he "maybe" BBQ some meat. Anyone is welcome to make a main dish if they wish. We've got 15 rigs...so it would be nice to have a few main dishes too.

Art & I have stayed at the KOA in Visalia back in June '04. We didn't care for it, you have to drive thru the Ghetto to get there and it looks nothing like the pictures posted on their website...UNLESS they've done some renovations since then. I guess as long as you stay in your rig, you'll be ok, it's only a one night stay. How bout the "The Lakes RV & Golf Resort"? The Lakes RV & Golf Resort (http://www.thelakesrv.com/index.php) Then you'll be about 2.5-3 hrs from Jackson. You drive up Hwy 99 to Stockton/Lodi and take Hwy 88, go East...you'll be about 40 mins to Jackson. Follow the directions that dvista posted or you'll get lost! LOL

See you there!

I have to agree - great turn-out for a first rally. And a great rally it was. Hats off to Teresa/Art and their assistants, Stacey/Butch (gmc).

And if other SOBs were as helpful as John was, they'd we'd always have a few SOBs at the rallies to do all the work! That guy was a mad-man worker.

This was one of the top 4 campgrounds I have ever been too. If one ever finds themselves in the Sacramento area and wants to stay at a really nice place - choose Jackson Rancheria. Nice long concrete pull-throughs with concrete patios and a wide grassy are between sites. Full-hookups with cable and "sometimes" working WiFi. Awesome rally room and pool too. Beautiful surroundings. And if you care to visit the casino for food or fun, the free shuttle comes by every 20 minutes or so.

Great job Teresa and team and thank you everyone who could make it. Another special time was had by all. Thanks for making me feel so welcome and thanks to for yet another birthday cake!

Hi Marybeth,

So great to meet the flamingknitter in person! Loved your Augusta too.

Having Alex at the TX rally was a request I made of Alex when chatting with him one day and also remembering that he lives in TX somewhere. Also been talking to him and his boss, the owner of the 3G Store about having a table at our North American rally in Goshen in 2009.

We'll see how Houston goes and take away from that, what we can to tweak the formula a bit to make the next one, if there is a next one, even better. Things like this have to work both ways (for us, Heartland owners and for the vendor).

As for Camping World, some chapter leaders have great established relationships with local dealers. Such is the case between the Katy, TX Camping World and our chapter leader in the Houston area, Jay Coffman. Joe gets to show new product to us and invite us to his store and service center and we get Joe to come chat about CW, share a meal with us and bring goodies.

As the Heartland Owners Club further develops, more of this mutually-beneficial relationships will develop.

That all said, we can all agree that Teresa and Art did AWESOME and I loved that game that was played after dinner. I told Nancy (yes, she really does exist Larry) about it and she has played this before at some other function.

Travel safe Marybeth and I hope to meet up with you at another rally in 2009!

Thank you to Art & Theresa, Butch & Stacy, Jim for Comming out on his birthday and everyone else that helped make this first Cen Ca Rally a success. We enjoyed meeting you all and sharing ideas. The food was Fantastic even the Cat poo cake  once you got past the visual. Now we all get to go home and work on our new mods. What is with that s.o.b. (John ) thinking he is an upscale Heartland owner Like the rest of us Really now. No really John was great and greatly contributed to the succes of the rally. I Know Larry thought it was a success since he With the help of Butch , Jim and who who knows who else Got his rear J.T. Stabelizers put on and a few questions answered. Now He and Debbie can rock and roll with that big 42" (LCD) all they want without moving the coach. You got to love him. Even though he got an extra hole or 2 in the frame lol . No one got the much dreaded bedroom slide gash Whew :D. Outside of picking the 3 coldest days of the year so far (What was up with that Theresa Lol) it was great. We need to order up some warm weather for next year. Then we can get some outdoor games going take advantage of that ladder golf game of Butch and stacy. The blended drinks That I believe Stacy made would be much more desireable if it was warmer. This one was good but now that we are familiar with each other and everyone has some experience at this I believe next year will be even better.I am sure we can add a few new ones also. Be able to check out some 2010's maybe even a Cyclone,Big country,Sundace, north trail or even see the revolutionary big secret. Hopefully we could have more than one Landmark to take the pressure off of Marybeth although she was very gratious. I will remember to throw in some good metal backed tape for sure this time. We are really going to enjoy those Binoculars at the coast next week :D. Theresa, When we get back from Seacliff We will let you know how that U turn went. It is going to be a tight one. no guts no glory. Just wanted to say hi and thanks to everyone involved.

First of all, thanks for all the hospitality and fun times at the nocal/central fall rally. It was awesome. John, you are a great SOB, can we borrow you for the socal rally in pechanga that we are at now. Tess and Art really know how to throw a party and made us socalers feel very comfortable. Special thanks to Butch and Stacy, JimBo and Butch for the installation of the rear JT stabilizers and Butch's driving instructions. MaryBeth you are a sweetheart and thanks from Deb for your kudos for making that raspberry cheese pie. It was great seeing Dave and Kathy, and meeting all the no/cen cals new friends including Greg(Mr. HVAC) and Shelley. Wish the weather was a lot warmer but you can't have everything. Debbi and I had a blast. Traveled 1000 miles so far as we lounge in the warm weather of Pechanga after a drunken 3 days at the wine country rv resort waiting for our socal friends to show tomorrow for our third 2008 rally this year in Pechanga. All I can say the rally was well planned, great fun, and we met alot of new friends that I hope we can travel again with. Stacy you are just a sweetheart and Deb and I really enjoyed our time with u and butch the last evening and hope to see you guys soon. The only mystery is whether JimBo really has a rig at all, as we have seen him at 3 rallies, and always flys in and stays at hotels (ask him about the famous room 1069 and Juanita the maid, just kidding) JimBo nice rah rah speech on Heartland. Super news we have moved up to number 3 fifth wheels.
Thanks again to all and to all our new friends. It was worth the trip. My goal is always to goof around and I am really getting good at parking with my eyes closed.

I would like to thank everyone for coming out to our First Central California Rally! We had such a GREAT time, considering the cold temps for those first 2 evenings. Jim B...it was a pleasure having you to share this special event with us and celebrating your birthday with you! Larry & Debbie (Larryheadhunter) to drive all the way from the southern CA to join us...it was worth your trip, wasn't it?! :D Especially, to have Butch (GMC) and Jim B help install your JT Stabilizers! Try beating our Rally, it was FANTASTIC!!!! ;):)

A special thanks to our SOB friends, "John D" who worked very hard non-stop with all the help that was needed (I don't think he even took one minute to rest) and to "Lucy" for graciously providing us with all the Halloween decorations for the Club House. All those who helped her with setting up the decorations, you all did a beautiful job! And to John & Shirley (HappyT), for providing us with the melamine Halloween plates, forks & napkins for both of our potlucks. To Stacy (GMC) for all your help with planning this event and for going out to shop with me for those 'extra' raffle prizes. To everyone else who also helped out, thank you so much!!!

Friday night was the meet & greet with munchies provided. Brrrrr, it was cold that evening!! Sorry, I had no control on the weather, it was not their normal temp for this time of year. It was a chance for all of us Heartland owners to meet for the first time. We surprised Jim B with a birthday cake and cards for his 48th birthday! Thanks to those who brought the booze & to Stacy for making the margaritas to share.

Saturday night was our Appetizer potluck and the 50/50 raffle. Everyone brought an appetizer dish to share....it was all so delicious so lets all share the recipes! An added decoration to our table was a cute Halloween tree with candy treats wrapped in tiny bags made by Hennie (Kevin and Henny White) for each of us. We sold raffle tickets and for the raffle winners, 50% was divided between Ray (slmayor) and Stacy (GMC)! Everyone brought their gifts to play the "Gift Stealing Game" but it was so cold that evening, we all decided postpone the game and play it at the Dinner Potluck the next evening.

Sunday night at the Club House was our Dinner Potluck, the Gift Stealing Game & Gift Raffle. What a surprise to walk into the Club House and see all the beautiful Halloween decorations that covered our tables and the little bowls filled with candy! All the donated gifts were also displayed very nicely. John D and John & Shirley (HappyT) were out there BBQing the burgers & hot dogs! John D was also working in the kitchen, slicing up veggies and washing dishes....he did not stop for anything! LOL There was so much food to eat, all sorts of salads, desserts and main dishes....not to mention the 'Cat Litter Box" dessert! Did you all get a chance to taste it? LOL The Gift Stealing game was so much fun stealing the gifts from one another, you never knew who was going to steal your favorite gift! For the Gift Raffle, tickets were sold and there were numerous people who had multiple winning. Always remember, the more tickets you purchased, the more chances you had a winning those prizes!

I really appreciate all those who helped with the Rally and for the donations of gifts for the Gift Raffle. Thanks to Dale (dbrnard) for selling the raffle tickets. Money collected from the raffles helped to fund some of the cost of our Rally and the remainder will be saved for the next Central Cal rally. It was your input and team work that made our Rally a great success! I'm planning our next Fall rally for October 2009. I'd like to take a vote on how many would like to have it at Jackson Rancheria again! I want to make the reservations early and if we can get more than 15 rigs signed up, we'll get the discounted rate and we can reserve the Club House for at least 2 nights. Hopefully, next year will be BIGGER & BETTER with warmer temps! You can all invite your SOB friends, so get them signed up too....especially if they can work as hard as "John D" did. :D:cool: LOL Our Rally is only for those who sign up to join us, so please tell your friend if they want to join in on the fun. Hoping by this time next year, our SOB friends Lucy & Jim will have a new Bighorn too!

Jackson Rancheria RV Park is beautiful offering spacious sites with grassy areas to sit out and relax. They offered FREE laundry service and FREE coffee & hot chocolate to all their guest. Shuttle service was provided every 20 minutes to pick up those who wanted to go to the Casino. You can't find a more beautiful RV park in the Central Valley with all their amenities and beautiful grounds!

AGAIN... THANKS and hope you all had a great time as we did. :) Looking forward to seeing you at the next Rally!

Teresa, count us in for next October. We had a great time and the park at Jackson was wonderful. We'll try to be there on time next year and won't let the daughter borrow/wreck the truck. Hopefully no duct tape holding the fender together, either. :)
As great as this rally was, just imagine next year's after you "trained" us all as to what a "real" rally was! LOL Can't wait!

Teresa, you can count on Kathy and I for next Octobers Rally. We had a great time. Maybe we can get a Pre-Rally wine tasting group together to explore the local wines.

Although I am a socaler Debbi and I are going to go to all the Cal rallies if we can. Heartland owners seem to be top notch folks, and as Greg said posess great mechanical abilities. It was worth the 1000 miles we traveled so far. 11 day trip is always sweet. Hope to see you all sooner rather than later. MaryBeth you courageous woman, we will post the recipe for the raspberry cheese appetizer at the thread.

We arrived at the Rally a day early and stayed three days after and the company was exceptional. It was great to meet many new friends and we are looking forward to getting together again. As you have read John D. was a dynamo and almost like perpetual motion. I don’t even want to call him a SOB, he’s just one of the group. If there are some of you who have not met Jim B., I hope you get to. He is a wealth of knowledge and a definite asset to Heartland. We stayed the three days after the Rally with Art & Teresa and Jim & Lucy “Family SOB’s”. We visited and potlucked, the ladies did some shop hopin and I got in a round of golf. We stayed at Jim & Lucy’s the day we left and they are now planning on getting a Bighorn. Partly on the quality of the Bighorn and partly on the quality of the people who own them. Thanks to Art and Teresa for a fun Rally.

Maybe I can bring a little sheet metal and some good tape next time so we can get rid of the coke can and foil tent in the vent in Larry's rig. . Not that there is anything wrong with that. It will just cost you that big bottle of Belvedeire . Just kidding I wouldn't really bring metal to a rally lol.

Greg bring it on buddy. The rattling of the coke can is driving me crazy in the air conditioner. Being retired let's go out halfway between our home bases one weekend and i will personally watch you and Shelly down that Belvedere. Hope you will share it with Debbi and me. Or bring some hangover medicine. Not kidding LOL
