Vinyl Flooring Won't Clean Up

My wife complains that our vinyl flooring is never clean. She's correct. 4or5 Swifter pads later, and it's just as dirty as the first.

Is is anyone else experiencing this?

Swifters are great, but they leave a soap film that dust sticks
to. This leaves a buildup over time. Get a bucket of hot water and and
two hand towels. One to wash and the other to dry. This
will clean all the dirt and soap film off. We still will use the swifter in the RV,
but clean the film off once in a while. We now use a steam cleaner at home
to avoid this problem.

Marc; I agree 100%. I am in the cleaning business, use hot water or a mild degreaser to clean then swifter to clean - up and dry. The small pad on the swifter will not clean a very big area.

This process will work great - and also keep the "boss" happy

When I had the floor replaced it seemed like it took 5 or 6 good soap and water scrubbings to get the dirt up. I think those rolls of flooring sit it a corner in the factory collecting dirt before there installed in the units and it take a few good cleanings to get all of the embedded dirt out.

Thanks for the advise. When we get the beast back from our latest warranty work we'll go old school with a mop and bucket!!
