We are now in the middle of our first trip in new Mallard M231. We have traveled from Bakersfield to Mesa, Arizona. We recently sold Tiffin Allegro Bus and are in the middle of switching to a park model. The M231 was recently purchased for shorter trips and to travel between California and Wyoming our two homes.

The first night of trip the wooden cover over the return vent cam loose. The factory screws attaching to a backer board missed the backer. This was an easy fix. Also the cover above the dinette booth over the slide mechanism fell off during travel but two screws fixed that. Also trim strips around slide came loose which are easily fixed with glue and new brads.

Next day the dinette table fell over and was of no further use. The posts supporting table were slipped into two receivers screwed into the flooring. Apparently the 1/2" screws through the brackets and carpeting barely penetrated the flooring and were completely inadequate to do the job. This will require a redesign after we return home.

Two days in Arizona hooked to fresh water supply we fin water pooled all over the entry and bathroom floor. Luckily this was easy to find and easily fixable. The two connections to the water heater were not tightened and after a few turns the leaks appear to be fixed.

Excited to see how the rest of the trip goes.

If you already have a new design for the dinette I would appreciate. I am sure we are not the only one to have had this problem.

Thanks.....tim
