King Pin Lock Question

If I put a king pin lock on my unit, will I be able to use my hitch stabilizer?

Looking to store my unit about 25 miles from home, and need some sense of security.

Also, will my Insurance cover this unit while being stored?

As to your first question, I really don't know but why would you use a stabilizer in storage? We use the stabilizer when we park but don't worry about anyone driving off with our trailer. So we never lock it. As for insurance, if you have RV specific insurance it should. We're full time so we have a full timers package that covers the rig as if it were our home 24/7. When we were weekenders it was a policy that was tacked on to our auto policy and we had minimal coverage while camping and inder the auto policy going down the road. If stored by our home it was covered under our Homeowners Ins. You would be wise to check with you insurance carrier.

Our king pin stabilizer, which we never use, can be locked when it is in place. As far as insurance check with your carrier.
