Truck Bed Height

Picking up new GMC 2500HD SRW Duramax short box tomorrow. What is the height limit for the truck bed (installing 5th wheel hitch) to tow a BH. Hope that makes sense.

Max bed side height is 57" for those of us transporting RVs for a living.

My '06 F350 crew cab 4x4 dually was 56-1/2" with stock suspension. My '04 Dodge in my sig is about the same with it's tail in the air stance.

Shep, the bed rail height on the new body style is about an inch or so higher that last body style. Bob

We had an old style Chevy 2500. When we bought our new GMC 3500, we raised the height setting on the hitch itself one notch which took care of the difference in height of the bed walls without putting the trailer at a bad angle for towing.
