Kinda Electrical

Hi Folks, looking to replace the "plastic" ring that is threaded to hold the 50amp cord to my Oakmont. I know other models have them besides Oakmont. Mine has cracked and is almost worthless. I need to replace it in case we're somewhere and it rains plus am afraid if the connection is not fully inside and the contacts separate it may cause an arc. Anyone know of replacements, preferably metal.

Hey Porthole - I didn't read what material the ring is made of. In order for it to be usable to me it has to be flexible. I need to be able to stretch the new ring over the 50 amp male that plugs into the coach.

A little dish detergent, maybe a hair dryer to soften it up.

Some of them are tight, some actually are pretty loose. Been replacing rings for 30 years now on the marine cables. They use to be metal and had no give!
